Simply amazing, album of the year for me so far.
Start (00:46) - NA
Thinkin Bout You (3:21) - 4.5/5
- I think the extra production on the song made it worse. It was so much better when it was a stripped down version.
Fertilizer (00:40) - NA
Sierra Leone (2:29) - 2/5
- This song is so over the place that it never finds spot of continuity.
Sweet Life (4:23) - 3.5/5
- Great Chill Song
Not Just the Money (1:00) - NA
Super Rich Kids (5:05) - 2.5/5
- Earl's rapping style on this was so smooth
Pilot Jones (3:04) - 4/5
Crack Rock (3:44) - 3/5
Pyramids (9:53) - 1/5
- Way too long and lacks the cohesiveness to make the song flow together for 10 minutes
Lost (3:54) - 4/5
- Best produced track on the album
White (1:16) - NA
Monks (3:20) - 3.5/5
Bad Religion (2:56) - 2/5
Pink Matter (4:29) - 2.5/5
- When I saw the tracklist and saw an Andre 3000 verse i was stoked. They gave him like 35 seconds of a verse and the rest was a horrible guitar solo
Forrest Gump (3:15) - 3.5/5
- This actually sounds like an album cut
End (2:15) - NA

Total - 36/55 = 3.2/5 = Good; recommended for fans.

Quick Notes:
- This Album won't turn people into Frank Ocean fans.
- This doesn't sound like an album, it sounds like a compilation disc.
- Frank Ocean is once again smooth as hell
- Production value is great
- Some of the runs he goes on makes zero sense at all
I like it, I love listening to Ocean he's so slick and it's something you can fuck to, sleep to, chill to and eat to haha. It's a boss album and I haven't been up too much on newer music this year like in the past but I do like this album. Earl Sweatshirt on Really Rich Kids is my favorite part of the album, silky smooth and just flows like a liquid

I agree with Ocean's voice and Earl being smooth. I just felt that there was no cohesion and that the lyrics did not make that much sense at all. It just didn't sound like an album

Yeah I agree on that, listening to it, it seemed like a bunch of singles but the tracks didn't fit together very well at all

Lol the lyrics are complex. This is being called a classic. Just Got a 9.5/10 on pitchfork.

There were a couple songs on it that I considered hitting "Next" on but I listened to the whole album and was impressed. But I still don't feel as though it's cohesive as a whole. It's like it's missing the glue. It's a great album don't get me wrong but it doesn't flow as a whole

Guess I'm just spoiled by Kanye and his use of using the end of one song to carry onto the next one

"All of the Lights to Monster"
"Jesus Walks to Never Let you Down"

I know the lyrics are complex. Im saying they are just all of the place that it does not make sense as a whole. Also never use the word classic. That is saved for albums that have longevity for like 5 years. I listened again and I think it is a little better but not great. It is a 7.5 out of 10. I expect Frank Ocean fans to stay Frank Ocean Fans and that this album won't change non Frank Ocean fans.

Also Pitchfork isn't the place to go for album reviews. They are the most biased reviewers in the game. I mean they gave Camp like a 1/10 and while I don't like Childish Gambino the album is much better than a 1.

Camp= 10/10 for me Smile But that's just me
I like how Andre 3000 contribute a lot in one song just like he did in Take Care with Drake on the song The Real Her. What I mean about this is he made the song have a good feel to it.

really i thought his cut on this was horrible. The should of given him more time.
If Dion loves this and loves Andre 3000's guest spot, I bet this album sucks and Andre drops the ball.
