The piece has been in the works for a while and as such I've taken the approach to not comment on what teams have contacted me. This is purely based on my own review of the teams needs from what I know (or don't know). Regression has not been included in the TPE count for those players impacted

Season 55 has come to a close, we’re officially in the offseason preparing for season 56. My Maine Timber having a terrific playoff run where we made it to the final where we unfortunately lost in a 6 game series against the very dominant Newfoundland Berserkers. Our first playoff appearance after a hiatus of 2 seasons. We swept the Detroit Falcons followed by a nail-biting 7 game series where we came back from a 3-1 deficit in games to beat Anchorage Armada. In the conference final we beat the Kelowna Knights, again in a 7 game series where we came back from a 3-2 deficit.
With the upcoming SHL draft, a brief look on what I want with Calvin, my activity and the type of Locker Room I’m looking for, the different SHL teams, their history, any thoughts I (as Calvin) have on the teams picks and if they’ll pick up a center early.

As any player does, I hope I will go as early as possible and I will start this off by saying I currently have no preference for any team, I’m excited to play for whatever team I end up with. Being (I think) realistic I think I will go in the first round, with the hope being in the 10.
For the centers, there is a lot of competition, in the list of the top 25 players with the most TPE for the draft class, 5 of the players are centers. And while I’m only 5th of the centers, I do hope my activity and enthusiasm will increase my chances of being picked higher in the draft.

To begin, lets have a quick look at how I want to improve and develop my skillset for the next 2 seasons.
My primary goal is to become a playmaking center, however, I also want to improve my goal scoring skills so that I can also shoot and score should the passing option not be there. I also want to try to become the best face-off taker in the league. If my team has a powerplay, or an important situation, I want to be on the ice for the faceoff and win the puck.
I want to be used in Powerplays and important situations for the team, help us create chances and score goals. That’s something I think I have showed that I can achieve with my playtime in powerplay with Maine Timber this regular season, producing 7 powerplay points (2 + 5) with average 01:31 powerplay time on ice.
While I will not skip work on improving my defensive play, I want to be a mostly offensive player and will want to focus there.
While, as mentioned above, I know what I have in mind. I will want to come up with the best plan for my future development together with my SHL team. I want to benefit both myself and the team, to help everyone so we can become the best team possible.

I am an active player and earning as much TPE as I can. I am also relatively active in the Locker Room. While I am not always talking, I try to read all the chatter in the locker rooms where I am active. I am looking for a fun environment where we can have fun together, develop friendships while also improving as a team.

While I have no set goal for the number of season that I want to play in the juniors, I do want to be able to have an impact in Maine and help the team hopefully win the 4 star cup. With that, if my SHL team needs me, I will adapt to the need of both the SHL team and Maine. My preference would be to play for Maine for a while and when I do come up, come up at a time when I can actively help the SHL team with some meaningful TPE build up before the call-up.

Now, moving on to the teams, lets begin with our 2 expansion teams as they will be the ones I have the least information on and thus the least to say about them.
Atlanta Inferno and Seattle Argonauts.
With both teams being new, it would be a very existing time to join either team and help develop the locker room culture while also being part of the beginning of these 2 new franchises!
While I do like the branding concepts for both teams, I really do like the Infernos style.
For the expansion teams, I will look a bit at what they picked, their direct needs and for what positions I think they’ll focus.
With the fact that both teams will need to develop their prospect pool, it’s definitely a possibility they will not target anything in particular but just pick the most active players both that can help develop the above mentioned locker room culture but also players that they deem are safe developments that can either be integrated in a few seasons or traded for other assets down the line.

Atlanta Inferno
In the expansion draft the selected 9 Forwards (4 Centers, 2 Right Wings & 3 Left Wings), 5 Defencemen (1 Right Defence & 4 Left Defence) and 2 Goalies.
Starting from the back, both goalies (Samat Beibitzhanov – S52 – 757 TPE and Mike Hroch – S51 541 TPE) on the team are younger and while they’re not top earners, they’re both relatively active.
Defensively only hotdog only picked up 1 younger guy, Guy O’Shea from Texas. O’Shea is 11th TPE wise for his class and relatively active. With the other players being in regression if not already in regression.
2 younger wingers were selected (Carlos Brown – S53 – 635 TPE and Patric Twist – S53 – 612 TPE). The others are older (including hotdogs own player Eko van Otter).
On the Center side and most interestingly for me, 3 younger guys and 1 older were picked. The most interesting one, Keith Lee (S52 – 1024 TPE) top 5 TPE wise for his class. The 2 other young guys are earning ok but nowhere near Lee.
Atlanta currently has 5 picks to work with (One in each round). And with so many young guys picked up, I do think hotdog will focus on the defensive side come the SHL entry draft. While he can definitely benefit from more Centers, I don’t think it’s likely he’ll pick one early and therefore I don’t think I will end up with the Inferno after the draft.

Seattle Argonauts
In the expansion draft the selected 8 Forwards (2 Centers, 3 Right Wings & 3 Left Wings), 7 Defencemen (1 Right Defence & 6 Left Defence) and 1 Goalie.
We’ll do the same order as the Inferno, the Argonauts only picked up 1 goalie, Nolan McMahon, who’s also inactive.
On the defensive side, the Argonauts secure 7 players, all of them are near their prime and makes the Argonaut blueline side quite a solid piece of their team.
Offensively, 6 wingers were picked, 3 on each side. Most of the wingers are younger, nearing their prime and should be solid pieces for the Argonauts, should they choose to remain with the team as they’re all entering free agency.
In the middle, only 2 centers were picked, Bo Kane (S49 – 1478 TPE) and Kristoffer Svensson (inactive).
Seattle Argonauts have 7 picks in the entry draft (Two in each of the 1st & 3rd round & one in the other rounds). Having added 2 picks they’re in a good position, but they’ll need to secure another goalie and also add some center depth. With that, it’s definitely possible they’ll pick me or another center early making it possible I will end up on the team come the entry draft.

With all the above, there is not too much else to say about our 2 new franchises.
Moving on to our established franchises, we will tackle them in alphabetical order, starting with Baltimore Platoon!

Baltimore Platoon:
Currently led by JR95 (since season 40), my fellow Timber draftee, Baltimore Platoon is one of the original 6 teams that has been around since when the league was first started. Throughout their longevity they have only changed name once, in season 53, from West Kendall Platoon. They have won the Challenge Cup 5 times, with the most recent title in season 47, they were then playing under the old name West Kendall Platoon.
The team is 1 point away from reaching 3000 total points across all seasons.
Baltimore have struggled recently and not made the playoffs since season 49. During the last 5 seasons, the have won 120 games, lost 180 (20 of those in over time).
The expansion draft only took 2 inactive players for the Platoon, not a major loss for them, however, one of them was a center.
While the Platoon has struggled recently, they do have an interesting young core of players and lots of interesting prospects, an exciting time for the future! For the upcoming draft, the team will not be very active as they only have 2 picks in total (first pick in the 2nd round and second pick in 5th round.) and JR being locked as 1 of those 2 picks. Add to this that they already have 5 centers in their prospect pool. As such I believe there’s a very low chance I will end up with the Platoon.

Buffalo Stampede:
The Buffalo Stampede currently led by WannabeFinn (since season 37), was founded in season 25 and have in the past 30 seasons managed to win the Challenge Cup 3 times, most recently in season 55. Both of their titles have come under current GM WannabeFinn. The team has remained loyal to the brand and not changed name or logo since their inauguration.
The Stampede has been a force to be reckoned with during the regular season for the past 10 seasons where they have achieved an impressive record of 307-159-38 (60.91% win%). This past regular season was no exception, with the Stampede ending with an impressive record of 40-10-0 (80% win%). They were the first team that advanced to the playoff finals where they faced New Orleans Specters.  The Stampede managed to win the cup after a very intense 7 game series.
Buffalo does have an older core of players on their roster, but they do have a quite deep prospect pool to rebuild on once the older players start to regress and retire. In the expansion draft, the Stampede got hit hard and lost 2 very good players Eko van Otter (Left Wing S47 – 1933 TPE) and Cassius Darrow (Defense – S45 – 2058 TPE). Van Otter was guaranteed as it’s hotdogs player and with the depth of Buffalo, they couldn’t protect all their good players.
For the upcoming entry draft, the team only has 4 picks with 2 being in the 3rd round and 2 in the 4th round. With my previously mentioned hope and expectation, just as with the Platoon, I think there is a low chance of me ending up with the Stampede.

Calgary Dragons:
Under Steelhead77, the second of our original 6 teams, the Calgary Dragons, have won 6 of their 8 Challenge Cup trophies, which is most cup wins of any GM. Calgary’s most recent Challenge Cup victory came during season 50.
Steelhead77 has had impressive GM career with the Dragons and is the GM with 2nd most wins and also the 2nd longest tenure. Steel has brought the team to 914 victories and is with that the closest GM to be next to hit 1000 wins. It’s not only Steel who has been successful, the Dragons are also the team with the most regular season wins with 1489 wins and an impressive 54.6% win% across their existence.
Calgary also has an older roster where a lot of the players are starting their regression if it has not already begun. They lost 2 for them inactive players Chico Smeb (Defense – S46 – 1258 TPE) and Alexei Rykov (Left Wing – S50 – 895 TPE). Rykov did come back and accept his contract with Seattle.
The team also only has 6 prospects tied to the franchise, however, those prospects are very talented. With Cale Amundsen who’s already started in 5 SHL games and has the insane record of 4 wins (3 Shutouts) and 1 overtime loss. Mats Marner who has had a terrific season in the juniors where he got marked down for 62 points (32 + 30). In the upcoming entry draft the Dragons have 6 picks, one pick in the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th rounds and two picks in the 3rd round. I could see them picking up a center early. If it’s me or one of the other promising players remains to be seen!

Chicago Syndicate:
Founded, and still led, by Velevra the Chicago Syndicate was founded during season 46. Together with the Specters they were the youngest team up until when our 2 new expansion teams joined the league. Chicago has played well during the regular seasons and have a record of 172-113-15 (57.33% win%) for the past 5 seasons. And while they have qualified for the playoffs 5 out of their 10 seasons, but unfortunately never gotten past the first round.
The Syndicate roster is in their prime and should be in a position to contend before the core starts to age into regression in a few seasons. They lost Abel Skinner (Defense – S51 – 977 TPE) and Patric Twist (Right Wing – S53 – 612 TPE) in the expansion draft. Skinner was a send down and Twist their 2nd lowest TPE player.
They do have a good prospect pool with mostly younger players that should be able to come up and replace their currently older players. In the entry draft they do have 5 picks, but the first picks is in the 2nd round. They would probably need to pick up some defence as they do risk losing some of their defencemen in the expansion draft. Personally, I find it unlikely I will be drafted by the Syndicate as I think they will have other priorities.

Edmonton Blizzard:
Edmonton Blizzard has been around since season 2 and has during that time won the Challenge Cup 8 times (tied best with Calgary), the last title came during season 49 when current GM Keygan was relatively new at the job. During their they have maintained a positive win% with a record of 1433-952-247 (54.4% win), a record that has been even better since season 50 where they’re 189-91-20 (63% win%).
The Blizzards is another team with a very strong roster. The just lost the Western Conference finals against the Specters in a tight 7 game series. The team does have 10 prospects with most of them being quite active and earning.
Prior to the draft they only have 2 natural centers Bo Kane (S49) and Tony Pepperoni (S43). Bo Kane (Center – S49 -1478 TPE) was selected in the expansion draft together with Carlos Brown (Left Wing – S53 – 635 TPE) leaving them with 1 natural center on their main roster.
The Blizzards have 2 more centers from the S54 draft in Guy LeGrande and Daniel Laforest, both earning very high and competing with the top of the class. While they could definitely benefit from adding another center to the prospect pool, the fact that the Blizzards only have 3 picks (one in each round 3, 4 & 5) I do find it unlikely that I will end up being contracted by the Edmonton Blizzards.

Hamilton Steelhawks:
Our third Original 6 team, the Hamilton Steelhawks has won 5 Challenge Cup championships, the most recent one in season 53. While the team has seen quite the number of different GMs (14 different GMs) they have always been true to their original name, Led by ThatDamnMcJesus (took over as GM season 45) with his second tenure as the teams manager (previously led the team Season 31-Season 41). He’s done a lot better this second term with a win % of 56.6% compared to 45.3% win% during his first time as GM for the team. The Steelhawks did just get knocked out 4-1 against the Stampede in the Eastern Conference final.
Hamilton has a very interesting team with a lot of players nearing their prime and will definitely be a force for a few more season.
The expansion draft wasn’t too bad for them losing notorioustigs player Tig Murphy (Defense – S43 – 1666 TPE) and (previously, relatively inactive) Akashi Sixnine (Defense – S47 – 1096 TPE).
In the prospect pool they don’t have the depth of some other teams, but they still have enough players to bring in that can replace aging out players. With 4 picks in this entry draft, the first one in the 2nd round then one in the 3rd followed by two in the 5th, I don’t believe the Steelhawks is the team where I will land.

Los Angeles Panthers:
The Los Angeles Panthers first joined the league in season 5 when they had their worst season in their history, they also managed to have their best season the following season when they won the first of their 2 Challenge cups. The most recent Challenge Cup win was all the way back in season 17.
Wasty, having led the team for 41 seasons, since season 15, is the longest tenured GM, the GM with most wins, losses, overtime losses.
The Panthers roster is up and coming with quite a number of players nearing their prime, the prospect pool is set to fill the gaps that will come, but they could do with adding a few more prospects as security in case some go inactive.
During the expansion draft the Panthers lost the inactive Nolan McMahon (Goalie – S49 – 798 TPE) and Oliver Cleary (Defense – S48 – 1628 TPE) who was heading into free agency. And, if rumours are correct, was looking forward to discussing options with interested teams. As such, the losses are not too bad for the Panthers.
The Panthers did just lose one of their best centers, Borromini Cannellini as he announced his retirement.
For the upcoming entry draft the Panthers can do just that as they have a total of 8 picks: two first round picks, two 2nd round picks, one 3rd round pick, two 4th round picks and one pick in the 5th round. With their many picks, I definitely see the possibility of ending up with the Panthers, especially now with the retirement of Cannellini. However, if they will pick up a center or someone to fill in a completely other positions with their early picks remains to be seen, but they will be an interesting team nonetheless.

Manhattan Rage:
Another old team, the Manhattan Rage, was founded in season 2 and have since then managed to win 4 Challenge Cups, the last one in season 52. Led by JayWhy since season 39 the Manhattan Rage have won 2 of the above 4 mentioned cups. While the Rage recently won a cup, the win% throughout their history isn’t as fun to read, with only a 45.7% win%. The stat is a bit more uplifting if you look since season 50 with a win% of 56.7%, which we also see as they’ve made the playoff every season since season 50.
While the current roster is talented, with a number of players above 1500 TPE, The Rages current roster is starting to age and quite a number of players are in the regression period. Add to that, they only have 4 prospects tied up and only Name Redacted of the 4 is a high earner.
Geoff Moore (Defense – S42 – 1492 TPE) and Samat Beibitzhanov (Goalie – S52 – 757 TPE) were the two players the Rage lost during the expansion draft.
Unfortunately for the Manhattan Rage, they cannot add much talent to their prospect pool in the upcoming draft as they only have 1 draft pick left, a pick in the 5th round. As such, I don’t believe I will be picked up by Manhattan during the draft.

Minnesota Chiefs:
The Minnesota Chiefs joined the league in season 5 and have since then won 3 Challenger Cups, with the most recent one in season 39.  Led by SpartanGibbles since season 52, the team has struggled for longer than so, last making the playoffs during season 46. Since season 50, they have the less than flattering win record of 90-187-23 (30 win%)
Minnesota has a relatively young roster that will be very dangerous for the other teams if they can keep the players active and gaining on a good pace. They could do with replacing some inactive defencemen in their active roster. That gap has been filled in their deep prospect pool with 6 defencemen (12 total prospects). On the center side they do have 3 active prospects that can step up in a couple of seasons.
The expansion draft caused no major loss to Minnesota as they lost inactive Jack Kennedy (Left Wing – S38 – 974 TPE) and C.T. Carragher (Center – S52 – 590 TPE) who came back from inactivity just recently.
During the entry draft, the Chiefs will have 5 picks, one in each round. With these picks they can boost their, already beforementioned, strong prospect pool. And while I personally believe they will take more defencemen than forwards, there’s always the possibility I end up being drafted by the Chiefs.

New England Wolfpack:
New England Wolfpack has since their introduction to the league in season 10 changed name no less than 3 times, mostly during their early existence (Buffalo Thunder (S10-S10), Tampa Bay Hydras (S10-S10), Hartford Hydras (S10-S12). It was when former GM Ace first took charge of the team the Wolfpack settled down in New England. The team has won 4 Challenge Cups with the most recent one during season 33, they also won back to back cups season 30 and season 31. Since season 50 (record 166-107-27 55.3% win%) the team has only qualified to the playoff ones, season 53, when they lost in the first round to Steelhawks who would claim the title that season. Currently without a set GM, the team has been led by Kenvald since the team lost their old co-GM, hotdog, to the expansion team Atlanta Inferno.
New Englands roster consists of some older players with a lot of younger players that’s up and coming. They have the second biggest prospect pool with 15 prospects tied to the franchise. While they currently have 3 active centers they only have 1 in the prospect pool, with that they could really do with picking up at least 1 more during the draft.
Maximilian Egger (Defense – S43 – 1037 TPE) and Mike Hroch (Goalie – S51 – 541 TPE) were lost during the expansion draft, no major losses for the team, but does put them in a spot where they would need another goalie.
The team also has among the most picks during the coming entry draft, with 9 picks. Three in the 1st round, one in the 2nd, three in the 3rd round and finally one in each the 4th and 5th round. With that many early picks, I’m sure they will try to grab as many potential pieces as possible. If they see me or any other center as a key piece will be interesting to follow.

New Orleans Specters:
Together with the Syndicate the other young team that has impressively made the playoff every single season of their existence. They have done so with the league high regular season win% of 58.9% wins (265-148-37). They have won the Challenge Cup once, last season, and were in the finals against Buffalo Stampede but unfortunately for the team were unsuccessful in their quest to defend their title. Had they succeeded, they would have been the first team to do so since New England Wolfpack won back to back titles season 30 & season 31. Throughout the Specters history, they have been led by JKortesi81.
As can be expected by a cup contending team, the New Orleans Specters have a strong roster and a lot of players in their prime. Noteworthy they only have 1 natural center, Boris Poroshenko. The prospect pool is only consisting of 4 players, but all of them active (1 center, Sven Gunnar).
They lost Thomas Vanice (Left Wing – S50 – 1027 TPE) and DeMaricus Smyth (Defense – S39 – 1366 TPE) during the expansion draft. Smyth was their oldest player and Vanice was heading into free agency.
The Specters have 2 picks in the upcoming entry draft (2nd round & 5th round) and will have to pick JKortesi81 own center, Xavier Doom, with one of those picks. Therefore, I do find it unlikely that I would end up a Specter after this draft.

San Francisco Pride:
San Francisco Pride was founded in season 25, then under the name Portland Admirals (which they changed away from to San Francisco Pride in season 37). The team has the unflattering stat of worst win% of all teams at 41.9% win% (628-739-133). They have yet to win the Challenge Cup, the closest the team got was season 52 when they lost to Manhattan Rage in the final. During season 55, long time GM (since season 36) Grapehead left the job and the site. Thatguy91 took over the role and has been in the position as GM for a month now. It hasn’t been an easy start for Thatguy91, as less than a month into his tenure as GM, the Pride received a major penalty for missing all backup goalie start. The punishment, 12m cap space during next season.
The roster is a mixed bag and the team looks to have to rebuild to become competitive in a few seasons, the question will be how they can manage with the cap space penalty the team has for the upcoming season. The current prospect pool is quite deep with 9 players with most of them relatively active. On the forefront of their prospect list they have Rickard Bjerg, the season 55 draftee who’s second in his class TPE wise, Sven Svenson who’s just shy of the top 10 in his draft class.
Expansion draft losses for the Pride was current send down Kriss Darzins (Right Wing – S53 – 683 TPE) and the inactive Andrey Barbashev II (Center – S50 – 697 TPE). Not too bad for the rebuilding team.
In the entry draft the Pride has 8 picks, one in the 1st, two in the 2nd, 3 in the 3rd (one can slide to S57), two in the 4th and one in the 5th. With the team being in a rebuild, it is very difficult to predict what they will pick and when. With that, depending on how the team sets up their draft strategy, I can see myself becoming drafted by San Francisco Pride. But it will all come down to how they prioritize with the many picks they do have.

Tampa Bay Barracuda:
The fourth original 6 team, Tampa Bay Barracuda led by one of the newest GMs, Trella, appointed in season 55. The Barracudas has in their long history only won 1 Challenge Cup, back in season 18. They are the team that has had the most rebranding’s in the history with 4 name changes (Wisconsin Monarchs (S1-S2), Vancouver Ice Wolves (S3-S5), Vancouver Nightmare (S6-S7), Las Vegas Kings (S8-S15), Seattle Riot (S16-S45). Throughout the history they have a record of 1248-1139-285 (46.7% win%) and is the only team that has managed the achievement of going 0-50-0 in a season (season 54).
The team is, much like San Francisco Pride and New England Wolfpack rebuilding and with that has a lot of younger players tied to the franchise. Tampa Bay has 2 young centres in the main roster, with 1 more in the prospect pool.
Frederick Wanesly (Left Wing – S53 – 563 TPE) and Al Kayhall (Right Wing – S51 – 669 TPE) were the 2 players they lost in the expansion draft, both to Seattle. Both are on the lower end of their class TPE list and the Barracuda won’t be too hurt by the loss.
They do have the biggest prospect pool in the league with 16 prospects. That pool will only increase as they have 11 picks for the upcoming season, four 1st round picks, three 2nd round picks and four 4th round picks.
With the many picks I can definitely see them picking up a number of prospects to boost their already strong pool and also hedge their best in case some go inactive. With that, if they’ll prioritize a center early when they do have 3 solid ones tied to them remains to be seen, but it’s definitely a team that I can see myself being picked by, if not least due to the many picks they do have.

Texas Renegades:
Texas Renegades was founded in season 10, has since managed to win 4 Challenge cups, led by another new GM, puolivalmiste, after dankoa stepped down during the recent season. The team has won 4 cups, with the last one in season 36. Texas has struggled recently and not made the playoffs since season 47. Since season 50 they have the record of 115-163-22 (38.3% win%). Throughout the history the team has the regular season record of 1126-932-200 (49.9 win%).
Texas Renegades were the first team to have 2 players drafted during the expansion draft, Guy O'Shea (Defense – S52 – 875 TPE) and Manuel Gotze (Right Wing – S40 – 1466 TPE). Gotze their oldest rostered player.
The Renegade Roster is a mostly younger roster, with a few older players that will need to be replaced in the coming seasons. In the active roster they only have 1 young center, with an additional 2 in the prospect pool (prospect pool is 10 players strong). Notably is they only have 2 goalies tied to them and with Weaver being available as a strong goalie prospect I can see them securing the position with an early pick of him. Otherwise they will most likely fill out other positions, but with only 4 picks (one in each round: 1, 2, 4 & 5). With that I do think it unlikely that I will be drafted by the Renegades.

Toronto North Stars:
Our 5th original 6 team, Toronto North Stars has in their long history only slightly changed their name once (S2 from Toronto Stars) and have own the Challenge Cup once in season 35. Led by ml002 since season 49 they have done ok for themselves but never reaching further than the first round in the playoffs. Since season 50 they have the regular season record of 98-184-18 (32.7% win%).
The North Stars roster is another team with a young roster that will be up and coming, with many of the players hitting their prime in a couple of seasons. They do have 5 rostered centers with the oldest one Mika Kandinsky, drafted in season 48. Their prospect pool is quite deep with 12 players tied to the franchise, among them, SMJHL MVP candidate, goalie Scoochie Stratton.
During the expansion draft they lost upcoming free agent and top 5 earner for the class Keith Lee (Center – S52 – 1024 TPE) and the inactive Filip Zadina (Right Wing – S47 – 941 TPE).
For the upcoming draft they have 5 picks, one in the 1st, 3rd & 5th round and two in the 4th. What player they will prioritize in the draft remains to be seen, but I do find it unlikely that they will pick up a centre early and with that I do not think I will be drafted by Toronto.

Winnipeg Jets:
Our last team, and also last Original 6 team, Winnipeg Jets, the team that was the first team to win the Challenge Cup, have won it 6 times in total with the latest time being in season 44. Since season 52 the team is led by Muerto. Throughout the history of the team, they have the regular season record of 1401-997-274 (52.4% win%). While the team has not changed their name as of yet, with a certain NHL team having the same name, there is rumours about a name change coming.
During the expansion draft the lost Satoshi Zizagooney (Defense – S48 – 1327 TPE) and, the until only a few days ago, inactive Nathan Explosion (Left Wing – S46 – 1183 TPE).
The Jets roster is a mixed bag, where they have younger players, especially on defence, but their offensive side is starting to age and a majority of the players will, if they haven’t already start to regress for the coming season. Their prospect pool isn’t particularly deep either, with 5 players, 3 wingers, 1 defenceman and 1 goalie. With only 2 natural centers in their roster and none in the prospect pool, it’s definitely something they can target for the draft.
With 4 picks one in each of the rounds 1, 2, 4 & 5 they can add at least 1 centre, question will be what else they will add to their pool. With their 2 active centers, I can definitely see them picking up myself or any of the other centers early.

That summarizes my overview and brief history of all the SHL teams. Again, I will stress that I have no preferences for teams and I’m just excited to get drafted and in a few seasons get the possibility to compete in the big league!

Following the review, my personal list of teams I think I could end up with after the draft is:
Calgary Dragons, Los Angeles Panthers, Minnesota Chiefs, New England Wolfpack, San Francisco Pride, Seattle Argonauts, Tampa Bay Barracuda, Winnipeg Jets.

Only time will tell, and I am looking forward to the draft nonetheless.
