Simulation Hockey League

They all play in the SHL of course!

I've been adding NHL face gens in FHM based on every SHL users' player pages and I thought it would be fun to list them all here, and also make note of some fun player renders people have been using. We have a few popular players, I wonder how the outside world haven't noticed them playing in the SHL because 4 actors have been lacing up their skates for a few seasons now and nobody seems to bat an eye.

Mika Mayfield is the popular actress Amy Adams. That one is easy to tell, if you've seen BadWolf's signature.
Ricky Bobby is hiding as Will Ferrell.
Oliver Klozoff became known in the early 2000s as Sean William Scott until he transitioned to playing hockey full time.
Wibbly McButternutz is the late actor Chris Farley.

We also have a YouTube celebrity in Baltimore's backup goalie Marques Brownlee. That one was easy to tell though.

From the music industry we have one player that you probably wouldn't recognize. Slatt Potts is NLE Choppa.

We have 2 players that gave up their main sports to join the league, Indigo Trevino is Toronto Raptors' Kyle Lowry. Ben van Dijk is actually a dutch footballer named Virgil van Dijk.

We've also attracted a number of fictional characters.

Jon Forty-One is none other than John Wick.
Ricky Spanish is of course, Ricky Spanish from American Dad.
Another easy one to spot is White Goodman, the Texan goalie also plays dodgeball in his spare time.
Tampa Bay's Jakob Hamr is Ivan Drago from the Rocky series. I wouldn't want to get in a fight with him, that's for sure.
Finally, TDZ's player Keith Lee is obviously the wrestler by the same name.

The league has grown a lot in the past years, and women are obviously allowed to join the league and fight for a Challenge Cup as much as men. We have 7 women players that will play next season in the SHL. Can you tell who they are?

The oldest player to still play in the league is Abel Skinner, playing as 56 years old Ken Daneyko. Right behind him is Rintarou Okabe, he may be a s50 player, but in reality he's 47 years old Masahito Haruna, a japanese former goaltender that played in the JIHL and most recently in the Asia League, but decided to leave it all behind to join the SHL! Close behind him is Mathias Seger's... Mathias Seger. 42 years old swiss player and still going strong in the SHL!


I don't know how he finds the time, but we also have a world leader active in the league. Did you know? That's right, Ivan Maximus is Vladimir Putin. I wouldn't want to meet Texas in a Challenge Cup Finals...

I was also surprised to find that StamkosFan has no player render. Considering his username, I for sure thought he would be using Steven Stamkos as his player render.

Lastly, we have a single animal that has been in the league for some time now. Julio Tokolosh is of course a cow! I wonder how he puts on his gear every single night...

Here's the final list of NHL players currently in the league. I was surprised to find a high number of 133 player renders blank. I assume most of it is due to the old player creations, and that the player render option was only added in recent years. You'll notice no Sidney Crosby below, and only one of Ovechkin and McDavid!

Henrik Lundqvist: 3

2 of the 3 Brock Boeser in the league currently play for Buffalo. Alexander Roach and Bobby Sharp are twins!

I knew the cow, obviously. And Wibbly... that's a name I haven't heard in a while :(

I wonder how many people like me use multiple renders?

What about the before times when we didn't list renders

efiug did confirm to be a furry but idk how public that information was

I didn't realize I didn't have my render listed. I'll have to ask my updater to add that next week! I'll be the one and only Kyle Connor!
