Simulation Hockey League

Hi SHL Community!

We've gotten everything figured out in our partnership with COTA (the Childrens Organ Transplant Association) and the Sim League Charity Drive is officially under way! All money donated goes directly to COTA and is put into their reserve funds to be allocated as needed to patients who need in the most. A year ago, our greater sim league community lost a dear friend in RedCydranth/Marc Spector, who passed away due to complications with cystic fibrosis, and we're looking forward to remembering him by giving back to those who are struggling in the same way. Like I mentioned a few weeks ago, I was amazed to see what this community can do when they gather together for a good cause like last year's BLM Drives, and I hope you'll all come at this with the same passion, if you're in a place to donate. Full details about the drive can be found in previous post HERE, but we'll also have some personal and site-wide incentives for taking part! The rewards are as follows:

Individual

- Anyone who donates will receive 2 free packs of trading cards when we launch the SHL Trading Cards in the future.
- Anyone who donates will receive a 2021 Charity Drive Badge on their profile.
- The top 3 donors will receive a special Charity Drive badge, and will also have custom, Charity Edition cards made for their players. As well, there will be an additional 7 charity edition cards raffled off from the list of everyone who donates
- Every dollar donated will earn you a raffle ticket which will be drawn at the conclusion of the drive. We're looking to add more prizes as we can secure them but for now we've got some copies of FHM up for grabs, as well as the above mentioned Charity Edition cards, but we're looking to secure things like free sigs as well!

Team

- The SHL and SMJHL Team that raises the most money will have a Charity Drive Champions Banner made for them and it will run on the site's sidebar banner rotation for one season.

League-Wide Goals

$1500 - Nour reads SHL Copypastas in a suit
$3000 - Double Twitter payouts for one week
$4500 - Double Media/Graphics payouts for one week
$6000 - PT Coupon for one Championship Week task
$7500 - Entire site can claim 2 tpe (claim post in the future)

Giving money is a good thing, but please don’t forget to make sure you also become an organ donor yourself!
