To further this, it's not like this is Wilson's first rodeo with suspension due to intentional injury of another player. His last suspension was in March of this year; 7 games for the boarding of Bruins player Brandon Carlo. This article does a pretty thorough breakdown of his flirtations with the DOPS Wheel of Safety since 2013. This is the 14th incident, if you count the 2018 Playoffs incidents individually. Not all have resulted in punitive action, but there's a fair few that have.

He needs to be suspended for the rest of the season, including playoffs, at the absolute minimum. He's the definition of a repeat offender, and is the dirtiest player in the league.

Blows my mind that he's still allowed to play in the league.

The fact that his teammates are so eager to defend him after that is mindblowing too.
