1. Defense is typically highly desired, goalie is typically least desired in terms of needs right now
2. Depends on what you want to do with your player, but the Read stats are always recommended for focus. We don't use STHS anymore so Defense isn't your catch all, so you can be more freeform with your distribution. But I'm sure our Rookie Mentors can be more specific
