At this point I don't see any reason to continue to use the forums for drafting. The majority of the groups seem to have someone go IA, and it takes DAYS to get through a complete round of picks. Discord would allow quicker communication and let you keep in contact with your group after the draft (for some friendly banter). The only issue is if someone is "forum only". To which my response is I don't care boomer, get with the program.

We should simply have a Fantasy server, give each group a role and channel. The forum can still be used as a reference/backup.

I agree with this
This would require @Jobin to do work, and I’m pretty sure he is allergic. Why are you so insensitive to his allergies???? Smh my head
I support this measure.
good idea
The way PBE does this is pretty cool.

1.) You can sign up with people as a group

2.) If you decide to you can set your group as a discord group

Just post the finished draft when you're done

"This group has elected to do a non-forum based draft. Your participants are listed below. You may randomize the draft order as you see fit. Please post your draft results in the standard format as shown at the bottom of this post including using exact forum usernames."

I'd still like to see snake draft enforced for this though.

Thats why the real perfect system is the ISFL system, where you get a thread that you can draft on if you'd like, but in the fantasy server theres a specific channel with your group members and manager where they can enforce the draft rules. Add in making your own group with friends and you'd never have to touch fantasy again

this seems like the ideal solution to me - could still have the groups assigned but let the group decide how they want to do the draft? we have some folks on here who do not use discord and while there aren’t a lot of them, I wouldn’t want them to be excluded even though a discord draft would probably be more convenient for most people.

Please for the love of god
I dont really see what problem this is solving. If you're IA for a site draft, you're IA for a discord draft.

Should have mentioned it in the OP, but I feel like if we might to Discord the 18 hour limit can be cut shorter. I'd say 12.

I spend far more time on discord than the site personally

So if it’s your turn during the night when you sleep, and then you have work in the morning you’re essentially skipped?
