Hello everyone!
With the retirement of our beloved captain JPB, aka Noka, we figured now would be a good time to both look at expanding our number of assistant captains as well as announcing who will be the new captain of the Edmonton Blizzard! First we will get started with our returning assistant

Julio Tokolosh! @Julio Tokolosh
Everyone's favorite hockey playing cow, Julio returns as assistant captain, providing top shelf memes, smut, and elite offensive capability for the Blizzard. While he hasn't been in the LR as much as he's wanted, every Julio appearance is beloved by EDM.

While someone needs to give this man a Blizzard sig, Smatt has been a staple of EDM in both the locker room and the war room. Giving us insight on the best Kraken prospects and one of our defenseman of the future as we ramp up to our competitive window, Smatt is a key piece of the Blizzard and we're thrilled he's finally going to be wearing the A for us!

Kaapo Kampainen! @marco999
Marco has been a gem since we got him from NEW, and the former ANA Co-GM is a steady presence in the LR, always making sure the team is at it's best, making sure we're all good and in a good place, and helping everyone that's asks him for help. As Kaapo grows into a first liner, we look forward to him wearing the A and leading the team both on and off the ice.

One of the best updaters in the league, our boxscore puller, and one of the most active guys in the locker room, I don't think I'm exaggerating by saying Kyle is one of the biggest steals in SHL history. Originally a 3rd rounder, he has been playing on the first line for a few seasons now and has been a constant two way presence on the ice. Both on and off, Kyle is exactly what you want out of a captain: Reliable, friendly, always willing to help, and just an all around amazing person.
Congratulations to all of the new leaders and GO BLIZZARD!
