Simulation Hockey League

A little under a month ago, the Monarchs had to say goodbye to their former GMs when @SpartanGibbles resigned, and @KlusteR decided not to apply as his successor. I was drafted to the Minnesota Chiefs in S52 by Gibbles, only days after he had been picked to be the new Minny GM. Days of talking to all Chief's team members of all ranks and sorts had made me convinced joining this team would be the best thing to do for my SHL career, as a player, user and someone with the dream of one day being a GM. I stayed down with the Detroit Falcons for a few seasons, where I eventually got to take my first steps in GMing alongside @nour, and later with @Halkohol as my second-in-command. While my player got called up and went through the Minnesota Monarchs rebrand with the rest of the team, I was busy trying to keep the Falcons on top, both in the league and in Discord activity. My mind was nowhere near leaving the Falcons behind when the news hit me. I liked the SMJHL, and now, smack in the middle of our Detroit rebuild, I had to take a huge decision: "Am I going to apply for the Minnesota Monarchs Head GM Job?"



Well, a lot has happened since that day, about 4 weeks ago. I was asked to be the interim GM for the team, while we were waiting for a new GM to be hired. And while it was a busy time trying to divide my attention among two teams, I'm not sure I would've taken this step and ended up where I I am now had I not had the chance to have a look in the Mayosota Chef's kitchen first.  I'd like to thank the entire team, as well as HO and the commissioners for handing me this opportunity and putting their trust in me.





I'd also like to thank @SpartanGibbles and @KlusteR for making the transition go smoothly, and helping me out with whatever info I needed. @KlusteR; good luck with Toronto. I'm sure you're gonna do great there! And @SpartanGibbles, thanks for sticking around. You'll always be the #1 Monarch to me.




As a GM, I'll need some help. Luckily, I didn't have to go far to find a coGM. Our very own @spooked has taken the job, and will help to continue the road to success for our Monarchy.

I am so happy to take a step deeper into the LR that I have been a part of for something like 5 years, although I have not always been the most talkative (especially when going on rants or brain dumps in HO or managing PGF back in the day). Looking forward to building up the LR and having more energy and time to dedicate to the team that has taken me three players in a row and always been very warm and welcoming to me.

I am so happy and honored to spend my last season with minny as the captain one more time. I love y’all <3
