I was thinking this as well, except I was thinking anyone who has been a GM gets a "base" bronze card. A higher rarity for President's Trophy season or Lance Uppercut season, Cup winning seasons, or stuff like that to give some variations of it. Maybe Co-GMs get a bronze base, Head GMs get a silver base, I don't know. Could do a lot with it

As for my suggestion: I think it would be cool to do some alternates here and there of players who have standout IIHF competitions, or gold/silver/bronze medal cards.

Pretty sure you could just do 1OA picks, Cup-winning goal series? HOF, 2k Series would work too, basically anything that gets a site badge for a player could work. Rookie cards for the All Rookie team maybe would be a way to do it without doing every single players rookie card made each season. Would not mind all star card packs available during all star game week or something, maybe IIHF cards or something else limited would be cool to get it be a bit more rare/seasonal, not sure if that is feasible with how it works now to have like packs in sets that can be purchased separately.

Just going to throw some set ideas into the ether, I'm sure some may have been mentioned earlier.

J set - a player card based on their J career.

Awards set - would include award winners and award nominees as well as the season they recieved the the award/nom. Alternatively just winners.

Cup winner set - includes players that have won the cup.

2k set - this one is obvious.

All-Star set - includes 1st, 2nd and 3rd team all star players.

IIHF set - self explanatory


I liked spookeds idea if limiting the purchase window for some packs to when certain events take place. I think thats a great way to create more interest.

A first pick ever card for every franchise (including the Buffalo Thunder please)

A set for each expansion team and their inaugural roster is something that prolly would be quite interesting.

Admirals and Riot have cards i just dont think they've been made yet. Comets are pre S27 but could be in special sets, Jay McDonald is the only comet card rn
