This was inspired by @SchwarzNarr doing something similar in the ISFL here. I was thinking of donating, and since I don’t have an ISFL player I figured I’d base it off the SHL character I’ve spent so many seasons lovingly creating.

The news over the past few weeks of the Hockey Canada scandal, the Deshaun Watson saga and the Jake Virtanen trial, among other sports-related news and discourse on the subject have been rather stressful, and one of the resources that has been very helpful through this time is my local sexual assault centre. They’re nonprofit organizations that provide services such as medical checks, a safe space for reporting, advocates to help survivors navigate the legal process, counseling for mental health, and more. These services have been incredibly helpful for me over the past few months, and I want to do what I can to give back. Schwarz’s effort in the ISFL inspired me to make a game of it.

Here goes:

I will be donating $1 for every goal that Sophie Bordeleau scores in S67 and $0.50 for every assist that she records in S67 to my city’s sexual assault centre. If anyone would like to join me, I encourage you to look up your local sexual assault centre and check out the work that they do, or check out rainn.org for the (US) national organization that works to provide resources to those affected by sexualized violence.

All the love.
Amazing move, Boom. Big respect for doing this
Love this, what a great idea! Looking forward to seeing Sophie light it up again next season
Now to see which league raises more money, the ISFL or SHL.
@Faelax @RAmenAmen lets crank offense up, Bordeleau need to crash records

Great cause Boom! Love to see users donate to charity based on their player or team's performance. For this, i'll join you and give up a $ based on QCC points at the end of the season to the foundation of your choice as well (i understand if you don't want to give out the detail of the one in your city, so I'll let you pick a different one if it make you uncomfortable.)

On a side note, Im thinking about doing the same thing with Nevek over his career in QCC for a mental health institute Smile but not with Goal/assist cause hes a defenseman LOL, but its a story for another day
nice
I pledge a dollar a point for ole nichael fitted in S67. I'll have to figure the local center later.

Dont fuck it up, whalers!
This is pretty awesome, I might do something similar with a dollar for every minus I am in +/-
Y'know what? Shuckle's having a good season right now. Why wait?

$1 for every win, plus SV% x total saves, and $5 for each award. I'm thinking the Spring of Tampa Bay this season, Rainn next season as long as my situation doesn't change.

@Jumbobone19 @Ruggsy , we gotta go back-to-back now guys.
That's a pretty good idea, actually. I've been thinking about donating to the Médecins Sans Frontières in the past, suppose I could make something a bit simpler.

If we, from the Manhattan Rage, make it to the playoffs, which I think we're not that far off, I'll send them a hefty 100 reais, which apparently should be enough to help 23 doses of morphine for those in need.
Way to go @boom! It's wonderful to see all the good will building in this thread. Heart Thanks for setting the spark!

To keep the ball rolling, I'm happy to jump on the band wagon as well. On behalf of my player, I'll pledge a dollar a point to his favorite local charity!
I love this cause @boom so I’ll be adding a dollar for each goal Videl scores in S67!
Wow very good initiative!

I will try to not get in the way too often next season Wink
Absolutely love this trend. How do my fellow goalies feel about our stats? $ per win? Per save?

I've decided on The New Leaf Project, a direct cash transfer system for people facing recent homelessness.
