For many of us inhabiting the Northern hemisphere, the cold and snowy season is descending upon us! It is quickly becoming the time of year where it gets dark at 5PM, so you sit in a big blanket and watch stuff on TV. This is not a hockey related prompt, but I thought people might find it useful!

This stretches “recent” a bit but Arcane! It’s based on the video game League of Legends and even if you’re not familiar with the lore at first, it’s easy to understand. There’s plenty of fight scenes and quiet drama. Also there’s Vi and Caitlyn.

It can be found on Netflix!

Something I watched that I would highly recommend would be "Alice in Borderland", if you enjoyed Squid Game then Alice in Borderland is definitely up your alley as well. I even enjoyed this show more than Squid Game on Netflix.

I watched the first three episodes of The Crown on Netflix earlier this month, due to a very notable event that occurred in the United Kingdom. Honestly I’ve liked it so far. Matt Smith kind of GOATed ngl
I watched this animated film, dubbed not subbed, about a teen witch, but it was NOT Sabrina the Teenage Witch. @goldenglutes could tell you the name of it, as I was dangerously close to a blackout
Not really recent, but I have decided that this is a good time to do my annual rewatch of the She-Ra reboot because it is very fucking good and i enjoy it
I recently watched a documentary about the end of Yugoslavia filmed while the war was still on. It was really special to get firsthand accounts of people directly involved in the war. It’s from the BBC and it’s called the Death of Yugoslavia. You can find it on YouTube.

I recently watched Spiral on Crave! I was very skeptical if I was going to enjoy it mainly because Chris Rock is mainly a comedy actor, if you're like me and you really enjoy horror movies this movie is a six point five out of ten. It is a bit difficult to take seriously at the beginning because of the fact that it's Chris Rock, I enjoy the "SAW" series a lot so I kind of had to watch this due to that.
i have been watching a lot of worlds coverage for league of legends which is very fun to get immersed into, personally I cheer for cloud9
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is great. I'm a huge fan of the original 4 Trek TV franchises (not so much the recent ones though). This is a lot more like the original series or Next Generation with episodic space adventures. A lot of fun and the best trek TV since DS9 imo.
The True Sight Insights from TI 8 and 9's True Sights on the DOTA 2 channel that came out this week were amazing!

These debuted before the premiere of the TI10 True Sight, and it was amazing!

For anyone unfamiliar who ends up reading this, it is essentially a documentary following the two finalists of The International, the biggest DOTA 2 event every year that is basically Worlds for LoL but with a prize pool about 10x bigger! The TI 10 prize pool totaled over $40 million USD! Both teams are mic'd up, you hear everything in the game, between games, picks and bans, and leading up to the games.

It is very entertaining esports content, even if you don't understand DOTA 2 whatsoever, I highly recommend watching them. The TI 8 one is probably the best one to start with. TI 10's has very little English as it pits a Russian team versus a Chinese team, but it has subtitles.
I highly recommend watching Firefly. For those of you that haven’t seen it it is a must. Best series ever. Only one season as well. Go see it god dammit!

Nothing like a good old episode of Masterchef Australia, to enjoy with the wife when we get some free time after dinner. The 12th season just started here in my country, so we are very much hyped.
Caleb is very big into nature. Caleb watched a new fishing show that he really enjoyed where they caught a very large fish. Caleb was fascinated by this.

Please watch The Bear. Jeremy Allen White has always been a great actor, but he's honestly a revelation as Carmy Berzatto. One of the most frantic, anxious, and painstakingly real shows I've ever seen, doubly so if you've spent any time working in a restaurant kitchen. Currently on my fourth or fifth rewatch. Looking forward to season two.

It's on Hulu, I think.
