Written Task: What are your goals in the leagues? Long term, mid term, short term; what are you hoping to accomplish with your player, or hoping to find on the teams you join. Are you looking for individual success, and maybe even a HoF induction, or will you focus on team success? (250 words min.)
Graphic Task: Create a hockeycard for your player, including at least your render, name and the logo of an SHL team you could see yourself playing for.
Reward$500,000 for doing one of the above
Only current SMJHL Draftable Free Agents (S70 SMJHL Draftees, SHL class of S71) are eligible for this bounty.
There is no need to claim this anywhere. After grading the money should pop up in your account 'automatically'.
Deadline: Sunday, March 6th @ 11:59pm PST
Adelbert Steiner enters the league fully aware of the folly of chasing a specific goal, but it's undeniable some feats call out to him. He'd love to ultimately play in his home land Canada, or at least for a northern team like the Argonauts. Aiming most of his career aspirations around personal development, he hopes to develop into a flexible two way defender capable of contributing heavily on both halves of the ice. He aims to become the kind of player who can be a rock in his teams rotation, ever the reliable defenseman to act as a lynchpin to construct a functioning team with. He doesn't play for personal stats or glory, and looks to winning rings & progressing as a team as the ultimate form of accomplishment. Simply put he plays to see Ws on the board rather than personal points.

With that in mind, to join an up and coming or rebuilding team, and be there long term for the transformation into a dynasty is one of the most appealing prospects for Steiner long term. Joining a contender would be quite the luxury, but ultimately the more fulfilling personal journey would be being there to build something up from the ground. Nothing would be more satisfying than starting at the bottom and ending up hoisting silverware. National glory too, as Steiner hopes to compete for Great Britain & aid them in becoming regular contenders on the international stage, however he'll have to earn his place in a line for his nation first.
Furious Chicken's goals in the league, in the short term it is of course to get drafted in the SJHML draft, and to establish myself as a good SJHML player during the next few seasons. During this goal comes the SHL draft so let's hope to get drafted in both of these draft. Mid-term it is obviously gonna be making the SHL debut, and getting into a national team, being from the Netherlands Furious Chicken has the benefit of choosing which national team he will eventually play for, so that does keep the options open. During the SJHML it would of course also be great to play for a junior national team, and to have a nice playoff run during one of the seasons. In the long-term the goals will be to eventually become a good SHL player, and become a good national team player, getting a good play-off run in the SHL (and maybe even winning it all eventually).

In terms of personal development Furious Chicken hopes to improve his defending prowess and become a physically imposing defender. Who manages to keep opponents away from the goal of his team.

So in short let's get drafted by a fun SJHML team which might be rebuilding where I can learn the league better, and get some playing time. To then develop into a good SJHML defender during the next few seasons, while being drafted by a helpful SHL team who are able to help me in the aspects of ice hockey I don't know much about, like ice hockey in general.

For Bellamy Blake, it’s always been about family. In this hockey realm, he doesn’t quite have one yet so it is hard to tell exactly what the future may bring. However, it won’t be hard to guess that Bellamy Blake will be dedicated to the SMHJL team that drafts him, and give it his all. His teammates that he hopes to form strong bonds with both on and off the ice matter a great deal to him, and he hasnt even met them yet! That just goes to show what kind of person Blake is.

How will those qualities translate to the ice? Well, Blake will be as dedicated to on ice play as any, and as a defenseman, he knows better than to let his teammates down. Protecting the defensive zone and setting up his forwards for sweet goals will both be priorities. His undying spirit when it comes to protecting those close to him will be a major asset to whoever drafts him. He may even be able to play himself into a few awards.

While awards would be nice, that is not something that Blake is thinking of as he begins his career. He is dedicated to team success and making his teammates the best players they can be. He plans to give it all in training and be the best version of himself on the ice, all while encouraging his peers to go hard in training and try their best. Whoever drafts Bellamy Blake is getting a hard worker and someone who will do the most to ensure that there is good hockey being played!

It is all too early to tell what the future will hold, but Bellamy Blake is definitely hoping he has a bright one in store!

My main aim with my player is to learn more about Ice Hockey. As someone who is new to the sport I am very unaware of how the sport operates or works, for example does it work in quarters? I'm pretty sure it's not halves. The only team I've heard of is New York Rangers. At the same time as I update and progress my player, I get to learn more about the sport which is fun and I have enjoyed doing so far in the PBE.
As for my players in game goals I'd like to have a solid minor league career and do well to progress into the majors. I'm not entirely sure how the playoff formats work but in the minor leagues I'd like to at least make some playoff appearances to get my name out there before I am called up to play in the major leagues. When in the Major Leagues I'd like to play on a team where I can get lots of game time so I can become a better player myself.
I am not too worried about individual success in terms of accolades as I find that can be quite rng in terms of how votes are given out so I am mainly interested in team successes where I know there can be no debate over winners and losers. I also believe based off what I have seen there are international tournaments in this league so I would like to compete for my country at the biggest international tournaments and come away with some success although I have initial doubts that the team of Great Britain will be that competitive.
I’m going to start from short term goals, to mid term goals, then finish with long term goals. So beggining with short term goals, In the SMJHL draft being able to get drafted within the first 2 drafts would be sick, due to me being a new create in a class full of veteran recreates. Hell, even being a first round pick would almost certainly make my day. Now, rookie season I don’t expect muc recognitions. I want to stay the maximum years in the SMJHL, maybe win 1 award or a championship in my time. in the SMJHL i wan’t to surpass at least 400 Career Points. It’s going to be a super difficult but if I keep max earning I think it will totally be a possibility.

Mid term goals go from my rookie year in the SHL to the middle of my career. Starting with a rookie season, Rookie Of the Year recognition will honestly be amazing however that’s a long shot. I just want good seasons of production with a team that can fully support me. At this tie maybe I’ll be in a higher place of power job wise.

My long term goals are mainly about how I want Erik Erickson to retire. By the end of my career, I think a solid time in the SHL includes, 1 MVP, at least 1 Championship, and at least 800 Career Points with majority being goals. I truly want to leave an amazing impact on the league, with an inspiration on the young talent ahead.

What does the future look like? Does it look like the future in those memes with flying cars and oblong shaped buildings and traveling to different planets for vacations? Probably not. As for the future with regards to Dominik Winters, hopes are high. I think that Dominik can be a strong contributor to teams that are looking for a center. He's big, got good vision, and has the potential ability to be a player who could be near the top in terms of assists on a yearly basis. This is not to say that he couldn't be a talented goal scorer as well, his grandfather Alex always touted himself as a pass first player yet managed to be rather successful shooting the puck as well. As teams have learned, it can be difficult to teach hockey IQ and that is not something that Dominik is lacking, even in his current youthful state. Of course, all the hockey IQ in the world won't help if you can't actually get the puck to where it needs to be or find the open spaces in the defense to skate or create opportunities. Dominik isn't quite in the place that he can hit every spot and do everything, but he's on his way to getting there. Each day is an opportunity to grow and develop, and Dominik is doing his best to take those each day. He's got a good support network around him and those who are helping him are encouraging him in all the right ways as to how to be a successful hockey player and person, not just at the pro level but in general.
