"Mmmmhh...what day is it?" Sir Devoir says as he gets out of his bed in a log cabin in Baltimore "what did I do last night... Oh yeah my third shutout!" He had just gotten back to his cabin after posting the third shutout of the season, and he wasy beyond hyped for it. He then noticed the empty bottle of bourbon and started to piece together what happened during the rest of the night "I guess I had a bit too much..." Devoir groaned as he got out of his bed and headed downstairs, and on the way he noticed that he was still wearing his Baltimore Platoon jersey "I didn't even bother to change huh. Guess I should get my late master's old hangover cure..."
As he mixed together the hangover cure, he turned on some Simcenter on his big TV in the living room "...and the Baltimore Platoon got a huge shut-out win at home versus the San Francisco Pride" the Simcenter anchor says as Devoir drinks down the cure "not only did they get a shut-out, they managed to score a total of 10 goals! Baltimore continues to be impressive in the comfoets of thier home stadium as they have only had two losses thier all season with a 12-3 record. Now if only they can manage to get a positive win loss record in away games, but even then the ratio is not the worst it could be as Baltimore continues their push to become competitive."
"They just had to mention us in away games huh?" Devoir sighs as he steps outside after turning the TV off. "I wonder what is going on with that Pikachu I saw yesterday- hang on is that a moving truck?" As his head clears from the headache and hangover, he notices that a moving truck has parked into a different log cabin not too far away from his. As he steps closer to get a better look, he notices that a boy in a generic kids hockey jersey steps out of the back of the moving truck "oh sure, have the kid be in the back of the van" he mumbles to himself "I'm sure the ride won't be so bumpy that he will hurt himself."
He then finally noticed that the boy has a couple of Pokeballs on his waist as he goes to introduce himself. "Hey mom it's a Gallade! And he is wearing a hockey jersey and carrying a mug!" Devoir looks down at his hand carrying the coffee mug full of tea and just downs the rest of it in one sip and the clears his throat
"Well yes I suppose I am all of those things" he smiles as he does a courtesy bow "my name is Sir Devoir, and I love in the log cabin next to yours. Though saying that it is next to yours is a bit underselling how large the distance between our properties are, not exactly sure what the property line would be..." He trails off as the Mom responds to him
"Hey I have heard of you!" The mom has medium length brown hair and kind eyes "you are the goalie for the local pro team correct?" Devoir nods before the Mom "good to meet you! My name is Nicole Johnson, and this is my son Corey."
"You are a pro goaile? That is so cool!" Corey says as he walks up to Devoir "how are you speaking English by the way? None of my Pokemon can do that!"
"Well that is honestly a very long story" Devoir shrugs before he stretches a bit "maybe I will tell you all about that later. So what Pokemon do you have if you don't mind me asking?"
"Oh here!" Corey says as he lets out his Pokemon. He had a Ralts and a Charmander, and they both curiously sniff Devoir "I caught them up in Louisville, which is where me and mom moved from! There are not many places to play hockey in Louisville, and I want to one day become a great hockey player like I am sure you are!"
"Oh I believe you can be" Devoir kindly smiles "you just need to work extremely hard whenever you can to become the best. Being the best is definitely not easy, and even I still have quite a bit of room for improvement"
"Well can you give me lessons sometime Mr.Devoir?"
"I am honestly not much of an instructor, but I do know a few places around Baltimore that you can go to in order to start getting lessons. You'll just have to wait for me to wake up a bit more before I can give them to you, I just played a game yesterday and I am not feeling my best as of now" Devoir yawned a bit as he said this "just let me get back to my cabin and I'll get them to you in about an hour or two"
"Ok I understand Mr.Devoir!" Corey says as they wave goodbye to Devoir as he prepares to walk back to his cabin.
"We have to work on unpacking as well, so we will see you later" Nicole says
"Yeah see you then!" Devoir smiles
