We use our own ranking system you can see here which is based on the hockeyfuture ranking in the nhl:

Line : What line should the player be used on
Activity Grade (1-10): How active is/was the player (Example: Forumposts, Sigs etc...)
Overall Rating (1-10): Actual Rating by VFL

Rates:

10. Generational Talent - a player for the ages, one who can do things with a puck that no other player would even contemplate doing. Very, very few players will be deserving of this rating, probably one per decade.
Defense: Bobby Orr
Forward: Wayne Gretzky
Goaltender: Patrick Roy

9. Elite Talent – possesses the potential for greatness, a perennial All-Star throughout his career.
Defense: Nicklas Lidstrom, Zdeno Chara, Chris Pronger
Forward: Ilya Kovalchuk, Joe Thornton, Eric Staal
Goaltender: Martin Brodeur, Roberto Luongo, Henrik Lundqvist

8. First-Line Forward/ No. 2 Defenseman / No. 1 Goaltender – players with definite skill that might be just a cut below elite status, but still possessing All-Star potential.
Defense: Dan Boyle, Duncan Keith, Kimmo Timonen
Forward: Patrick Marleau, Jason Spezza, Mike Richards
Goaltender: Cam Ward, Marc-Andre Fleury, Tomas Vokoun

7. Second-Line Forward/ No. 3-4 Defenseman / Journeyman No. 1 Goaltender – players not quite good enough to play on the top line or pairing on a regular basis, but still possessing enough talent to contribute offensively, defend with some authority, or competently play the goaltender's position for long stretches.
Defense: Filip Kuba, Christian Ehrhoff, Henrik Tallinder
Forward: Andy McDonald, Ryan Malone
Goaltender: Chris Mason, Dwayne Roloson, Mike Smith

6. Third-Line Forward/ No. 5-6 Defenseman / Backup Goaltender – generally speaking, players whose game is defensively-oriented, or whose abilities aren't quite good enough to land full-time duty on the 2nd line, top two defensive pairings, or the No. 1 goaltending position.
Defense: Jordan Leopold, Chris Campoli, Shane O'Brien
Forward: Trent Hunter, Manny Malhotra, Matt Cooke
Goaltender: Scott Clemmensen, Ty Conklin, Alex Auld

5. Fourth line forward / No. 7 defenseman / depth goaltender – players that populate the 4th line, will fill in for injured defensemen, or have some ability to play goal in the NHL but are mostly very good minor league goaltenders. Think of any enforcer you care to name, or any energy player you care to name, or any unlucky defensemen or goaltenders that don't quite have enough talent to crack an NHL lineup full time.

4. Top minor league forward / defenseman / goaltender – players unlikely to have long careers in the NHL, but they'll be recalled when injuries or other circumstances arise.

3. Average minor league forward / defenseman / goaltender – players who will in all likelihood spend their entire careers in the minor leagues.

2. Minor league role-player – players who populate minor league rosters for the purpose of populating minor league rosters. Mostly ECHL players or lower, but ones that could receive some playing time in the AHL.

1. Borderline minor league player – players one step away from the beer leagues.

Scouting Report
Goalie Mike Verminski
Requested by Green

Mike Verminski joined our League on august 25th. He will be eligible for this years njwhl draft. Because their are only six starters needed in the juniors a goalie has a hard jop to become a teams number one. Verminski improved much since he came to this league. Hi uses the social medai here well and earned some points with that here. He made a great media release with more than 1000 words and a nice interview in it and got a good payment. He looks like a good, motivated member who cant wait to see action in goal of a junior team. The skillset isnt good for an NJWHL goalie but a good base for a later SHL career. I say that because endurance isnt needet in the NJWHl but much more in the SHL. Endurance he has 80 points. This is a secondary attribute. He should improve the hand speed and reaction time a lot. I would try to go to all primary attributes like rebound, stylecontrol, handspeed etc. To 80 as fast as i can. Than i would mix my training for secondary and primary attributes.

Overall Rating (1-10): 8 (a little lower because the skillset)

Our first target are the new NJWHL Prospects. We try to get as much information about them as we can! This players are SHL Draft eligible in Season 11 but can be draftet by the Junior Teams in Season10. In this issue we look at the future SHL Left Wings!

Skip Boyd:

Boyd joined the league on 31. August. Since he is here he as two postings in our forum. He was recruited by malcontentcapsfan and is an us-born player. His skills / attributes he sets up to be a grinder. Checking 90 would be fine for a third . His endurance level is 70 but endurance isnt much needed in the juniors but it is a good ground for the shl. He has a little bit of passing and scoring touch so he can helü a bit at secondary scoring!

Line: Checking Line player (maybe 3rd)
Activity Grade (1-10): 2 (very early, but 2 posts for as newbie isnt much)
Overall Rating (1-10): 5

Jackson Spruill

He sees himself as a two way forward. Recruited again by malcontentcapsfan. He has a very good start here in the league. He joined on the 29. August and went immediatly on twitter and has done a media release too. He has 3 positive reputations already and his media was a very good read. His skillset looks like a two way player too. He is an us prospect too who we think is able to make their WJC Team.

Line: Zone-Trap Line player (maybe defensive player on a 2nd),
Activity Grade (1-10): 8 (great twitter and media)
Overall Rating (1-10): 8

Tom Neels

Tom neels joined our league on August 30 (Forum August 28). He wants to be a playmaker in this league and focusses on passing and scoring (80). He has only his Skillset-Posting on the board so that we cant speak from much activity. He was recruited by diglet via HF Board. I think he isnt known personally so it is very hard to rank how active he will be.

Line: 1st/2nd Line (Playmaking)
Activity Grade (1-10): 1 (no posts)
Overall Rating (1-10): 1 (not personally known in this league and no activity in a week)

Lukas Kahn

German player. Has only one post in our forum. He wants to become a sniper in our league. Good strenght, skating and scoring abilities. Recruiting option is unknown. A dark horse maybe?

Line: 1st/2nd Line (Sniper)
Activity Grade (1-10): 1 (no posts)
Overall Rating (1-10): 2

Cameron Gibson

Gibson wants to be a sniper too. But against Kahn he is much more active and seems to be very hot to start up in this league. His Skillset looks very nice for a sniping one. He was recruited by RehnX and joined our community on august 28th. He still has a media open where you can ask him about his future - http://theshl.b1.jcink.com/index.php?showtopic=13829 – what i think is a very good thing for a new player.

Line: 1st/2nd Line (Sniper)
Activity Grade (1-10): 7 (Open Media)
Overall Rating (1-10): 7 (Seems like he cant wait to start up)

Alicia Keys

Silly name for a hockey player but created by SHL veteran sarmo. Should be a hot candidate for an NJWHL - all star appearence if his potential will be used wisely. 2206 posts speak for themself if we come to activity. Skill-Set looks more like a playmaker than a two-way-forward. Great Passing and Endurance. Able to play for team usa (wjc)

Line: 1st/2nd Line (Playmaker)
Activity Grade (1-10): 9 (2206 Postings)
Overall Rating (1-10): 9 (All-Star-Talent)

Justin Cunningham

Justin joined our lovely group on august 15th and started immediatly with 2 media appearances. After that there wasnt much activity on the line. Hopefully he would become more activ and comes back to the NJWHL Draft. He logged in last time today so that seems to be very possible. Was recruited by bballhandcuff and wears the great Jarome Iginla # 12! Good scoring and puckhandling ability so that he calls himself a sniper. Able to play for team canada.

Entry Interviews:
http://theshl.b1.jcink.com/index.php?showtopic=13229
http://theshl.b1.jcink.com/index.php?showtopic=13214

Line: 1st/2nd Line (Sniper)
Activity Grade (1-10): 8 (Nice Interviews)
Overall Rating (1-10): 8 (Allrounder)

Brandon Donini

Recruited by Taron 47 Donini seems to be one of the prospects we can put our highest expectations on. 20 days in our forum he has more than 120 postings and some great media stuff going. Also he has nice sigs and a good skillset for a winger. Nice mix from checking to scoring. Has first training lessons made and earned first TPEs! Only Leftwinger so far to do so.

Line: 1st/2nd Line (Power Forwrad)
Activity Grade (1-10): 10 (Nice Interviews, Media and Training so far)
Overall Rating (1-10): 10 (High End Pick!Wink

Bob Racecar

Another playmaking prospect. Recruited by Phil B. He still is a unwritten sheet of paper. Registered here on september 2nd there wasnt much time to scout him. All playmaker attributes are good and so we only can wait how Mr. Racecar will develop in the future. Was last seen here on his register day. We hope he comes back at drafttime like Cunningham.

Line: 1st/2nd Line (Playmaker)
Activity Grade (1-10): 4
Overall Rating (1-10): 5 (could be good if he really starts)

Hello and welcome to a new issue V-F-L Scouting Report! Today we will look at the future right wingers from the SHL. We hope we can help the masses of new NJWHL Gms tgo choose the right players for their teams!

Dave Smith

Dave joined our group on August 30th and is very active postingwise in our forum. Thirty posts in 8 days is a really good number. He sees himself as a power forward. His media work is really great and so we see a great new prospect if he develops forward like he has started in here. Nice interviews and stoires in the media section! His international career will be with team italy. His skillset looks like a typical allrounder. He was recruited by Taron.

Line : Future First / 2nd Line PF
Activity Grade (1-10): 9 (Great Media and good Motivation)
Overall Rating (1-10): 9 (maybe great allrounder)

Shwan Swerin

Another very active new Power Forward for the right wing. Started here oney day in front of Smith and has much forum-activity too. He is a multilingual talent who can write his media stuff in many different languages. That is a very nice and interesting ability. He has done much media work so that like Dave Smith we can have a strong hope that he will translate in a very good junior player. Unlike Smith his skillset looks more like a checking, grinding winger with a lot of scoring touch. He is eligble to play for team usa when he will match up on international rinks.

Line : Future First / 2nd Line PF
Activity Grade (1-10): 9 (multi-lingual)
Overall Rating (1-10): 9 (Scoring Touch)

Kaspar Abraham

Abraham is the new player managed by SHL-veteran vintagerockstar. He will sure have impact in the NJWHL as soon as it starts. Great media work and his experience in this league will be a bonus for every NJWHL and later any SHL-team! 359 Posts in this forum since his start in november 2011 speak for themselves. His skillset looks more like a playmaking one. In my opinion not enough grind for a powerforward his future could be the playmaking and scoring part of an offense. His nationality is swedish and you could compare him with a player like sven baertschi.

Line : Future First Line / 2nd Playmaker
Activity Grade (1-10): 10 (Veteran)
Overall Rating (1-10): 10 (Veteran)

Mike Bosse

After having problems with setting his skillset we all are waiting for his first hunt for TPEs in our league. There was still no media like an pre draft conference or something like that. Like we see at the players above the right wing position is very strong with many great prospects. So if Bosse wants to make an impact he should early start to impress scouts and general managers.

Line : 2nd Line Scorer
Activity Grade (1-10): 3 (no Media)
Overall Rating (1-10): 3 (strong rivals on rw)

Rayo Ken

The canadian born Rayo Ken looks like a real junior goal scorer with his only ability and focus on scoring. His skillset is only hot in this department and so we will have to wait and see if scoring without good technical abilities will be enough to get some offense in the junior leagues. Mediawise we can compare him with Mike Bosse. A great Zero for TPE´s or earned money. His second position is the defending one but with this "scoring-only" skillset no gm should line him up in a defense pairing.

Line : 2nd Line Scorer
Activity Grade (1-10): 3 (no Media)
Overall Rating (1-10): 2 (skillset)

Vanni Skorov

The journey from russia to our league here in north america will be a long road for Vanni Skorov. With so much great RW proseptcs in line it will cost hard work for a player who hasnt earned any money or TPE´s now. Only 1 Post in the forum, the skillset posting is not enough to get any attention of a gm or a good scouting rating. He wasnt in our forum since his joining day and so we only can hope that he comes back when it will be drafttime in the shl. He has a good technical skillset which looks fine for a goal scoring offender.

Line : 2nd Line Scorer if active
Activity Grade (1-10): 1 (nothing)
Overall Rating (1-10): 2 (good skillset)

Jeff Erixon

The albertian native erixon joinde our league at the last day in august this year. He wasnt quiet active here in our league. He has an allrounding skillset with his second position as a center. We hope his promise well come true in this league ("I am a diehard Oilers fan and a huge fan of everything hockey in general. I will be very active and look forward to this SIM league!") and he will be a future top prospect. But promising only cant be the right tool so he should start earning some money to improve his player and gain the attention from scouting and managing around the league.

Line : 2nd Line Allrounder if active
Activity Grade (1-10): 3 (Promise)
Overall Rating (1-10): 2 (good skillset)

Compendium and Ranking:

The position on right wing is much more impressive than that on the left wing. But there is a great gap. Much very good and active players and on the other side players who only posted their skillset and after that doesnt earn anything. We hope that the good players keep working hard and the other players start their developing in their junior years before the draft.

Now like usual our Ranking:

1. Abraham 10
2. Smith 9
3. Swerin 9
4. Bosse 3
5. Erixon 2
6. Ken 2
7. Skorov 2

That was our overview over the new potential right wingers in the SHL. If we have forgotten to scout a player feel free to send an request via PM and we will look at this player for you.

In our next Issue we will take a strong and interesting look on the center position. We think there will be the Face-Off- Attribute an important one. After that we will take a look at the defensive side of our sport.

haha awesome thanks for requesting that Green.
Also where is said payment? I can't find my name anywhere in the bank forum
[Image: image.jpg]
Today the V-F-L Scouting team will take a look at the third offensive position after we scouted the Wingers a few days ago. The result of our first two reports can be explained like this: Their are newcomer with much enthusiasm and fun to progress immediatly and we have a lot of players who we hope that they will start progressing after the draft. In the middle of this gap there seems to be nothing. Well, maybe our centers will close this. Lets start!

Vladimir Kapralov

Like the name tells us Kapralov is a russian born player. He calls himself a playmaker and his skillset looks like he can be even this in this league. Good skating, passing and scoring. Face-Off is a really important attribute for an center and is low, but not to low for the NJWHL. But that should be the next attribute he improves. Media and Activitywise there has to come much more. He was recruited by Turrkonen.

Line : Future First / 2nd Line Playmaker
Activity Grade (1-10): 1 (nothing)
Overall Rating (1-10): 2 (skillset)

Rehn Miller

Rehn Miller seems to be the face-off guy of the center with great playmaking abilities. He has a great activity with much media and many postings in our forum. His media works included movies, press conferences and much more! He should be one of the best centers of this league if he keeps the ball in play. His scoring is a little bit week but in his interview he says that will be the first attribute to do some training on. If you read and hear his interviews he shows us his confidence and we can see his fightin charcater and love for the game.

Line : Future First / 2nd Line Playmaker
Activity Grade (1-10): 10 (great!Wink
Overall Rating (1-10): 10 (Center-Skillset)

Emma Watson (?)

Well Emma Watson is the name of user idots player in here. The V-F-L scouting thinks that this is a very silly name for an shl player. It shows us that the user isnt interested in a hockey type of game. Recruited "by his" mother there is no sign of serioussnes. She should be a very extreme and bad character in a teams locker room. The skillset seems to be ok for a two way player.

Line : Future 3rd / 4th Line TWF
Activity Grade (1-10): 1 (unserious)
Overall Rating (1-10): 1 (unserious)

Nigel Blowhorn

Now we come to a better story. JaysFan26 is a well known user in our league and now has created a new player after he has retired his old number 22 player from las vegas Swifte Schnieder. His new player Nigel blowhorn he wants to proceed to a two way forward. His skillset shows us a very good allround game and with his veteran status he should be one of the early picks in this draft. He is very active and is a very good media guy.

Line : 2nd Line Allrounder
Activity Grade (1-10): 10 (very good)
Overall Rating (1-10): 10 (Veteran user)

Jacub Izacky

He is born in the Czech repuplic and a new recruited player and so a new face in our league. I sniping centre man here calls himself and was recruited by another newbie but considerd top prospect Donini. He has done a nice entry media and looks like to be a nice addition to every team in the juniors. A former coach says that over his former player: "Izacky is a dynamic skater who is able to create offence with his speed. He has a tremendous work ethic and is looking forward for an opportunity to prove himself in North America". Well we hope he can show us what he has left in his tank. His skillset looks more like a allrounding one. But he can develop into a sniper too.

Line : 2nd Line Allrounder / Sniper
Activity Grade (1-10): 5(ok)
Overall Rating (1-10): 5 (Former Coach Rating)

Bjorn Jonsson

Now we take a look at a very new, two days registered member with seemingly very good chances to get in the first round of the NJWHL Draft this season. Only two days and immediatly nice media and twitter activity is a good sign for a future junior rookie. Jonsonn is a sweden native player and has the honour to play for team sweden right before he is draftet in a north american league. He is a playmaking center with great scoring and could immediatly help any junior team in our league.

Line : 1st / 2nd Line Playmaker
Activity Grade (5): 9 (2 days, good work!Wink
Overall Rating (1-10): 9 (Skillset / Activity)

Jussi Toivonen

Another scandinavian born player recruited by diglet. The finnish native Toivonen looks like a two way forward and his skillset is ok for that position. A very new but intersted user who with some help can develop his player soon. Would be the right fit for a team with a veteran gm and some veteran players around him. Has done no media so far because he doesnt know how our league works at all we guess but thas he we will learn with some help.

Line : 3rd / 4th Line Two Way Forward
Activity Grade (5): 2 (interested)
Overall Rating (1-10): 2 (with some help could have a good future)

Compendium and Ranking:

1. Rehn Miller 10
2. Nigel Blowhorn 10
3. Bjorn Jonsson 9
4. Jacub Izacky 5
5. Jussi Toivonen 2
6. Vladimir Kapralov 2
7. Emma Watson 1

So we see in the centre position the gap between very good and very bad is not so high like on the other offensive positions. Intersting will be to look after our new scandinavian players who showed some great stuff in their first days!

In our next issues we will look deep into the defensive future of our league and who will be the next josef heiss in goal in the shl. We hope you had some fun with this scouting report to and make some advertisment for us :D
