Welcome to the roster announcement for team Finland! Finland

Another SHL season is behind us and that means the next IIHF tournament - the 75th - is coming next. As usual it is time to announce our roster and it will follow mostly the same procedure as the years before in case you have read one of those before. There won't be too many changes in our roster either as usual.

Let's start with retirements and other departures from last year's roster.

Old man KEKW Kekkonen helped us win several gold medals in the 60s and was an important member of team Winland throughout his IIHF career. Unfortunately, we couldn't add another medal last time and just fell short of bronze. Nevertheless, we'd like to wish you a happy retirement and thank you for being a part of the roster for such a long time! Fun fact: how many of you knew that KEKW stands for Karl-Erik-Karl2-Wojtek? Now you know.

Another, perhaps temporary?, departure we will see with Might-go IA. We do hope that Might-go won't-go IA, but unfortunately you'll have to sit out this tournament since we're a competitive team and like to give spots on the roster to hard-earning young players. If earning picks up in the future, we Might-see you back on the team. Thanks for playing with us last tournament!

Now let's move on to our rookies. We're very excited to have two promising young defenders join our team as rookies in S75: Jaromir Jagrbomb and Artturi Lappalainen! Both have been us in a... let's call it 'previous life' so welcome back! This might be one of the rare times we won't have to play a forward on defense too which is great.
