I've had the pleasure to watch this kid using the WHL's live streams. I've seen a few games including his one game he had 5 assists. To be honest, this kid is just fantastic and I think he could be a superstar in the NHL. He's on a bad team but he has 14 points in 11 games, good enough for second in WHL defenseman scoring.
I truly believe now, that Burke and the Leafs did have him 1st on their list. He's more talented offensively than anyone in the draft outside of yakupov. He is also very capable and underrated defensively. He controls the pace of the game and whenever he carries the puck the whole arena holds their breath and you can hear it every home game. His skating is unbelievable, so explosive and powerful. He is also very strong and not afraid to fight. His passes are unreal. His only weakness is his shot. He has a good wrister but his slapshot is pretty bad and he knows it because he rarely ever uses it.
All in all, this kid is sick and such a smart player. I truly do think he could become a superstar. With Gardiner and Rielly on our D core, I have high hopes for the future. The rest of the league will be Jelly.
Just as I finish this, Gardiner scores his 3rd of the season

good for him producing at that level. Ill wait until i get this hyped over a player until he makes the transition. Gardiner has looked real good in the AHL
Jan 18, Feb 5, Feb 20.. I'm pumped for those days that is when Moose Jaw comes to Saskatoon

I am really happy with how he has played so far. Hopefully he is a big part of Team Canada at the WJC this year. Always a question how these kind of players transition to the NHL though.

I wish the Blades weren't so terrible this year and had over priced tickets. :(

I have no fear with that. With his skating ability and hockey sense, I don't think there is much to worry about. He isn't undersized at all either which players like himself usually are. He is 6.05 feet tall and 200lbs. He's a strong kid too. Like I said, he is very capable defensively. Compared to Ryan Murphy for example, he is much better.

I think the Blue Jackets picked the right player for their Franchise
its a suprising result after a huge injury seems he hasnt lost a step should be a very interesting prospect to watch

No, I meant in the Draft by picking Murray over Reilly.

I was talking about Ryan Murphy in Kitchener, Carolina's prospect.
I'd also agree anyways though, CBJ needed a safe bet. He's also got great character and will be their captain someday. He actually impressed me just as much as Rielly in the one Everret vs Moose Jaw game I saw. Although when Rielly turned it on in the third, he was by far the best player on the ice by far.

Yup, a lot of teams are going to regret passing on Forsberg. He's doing great in the Allsvenskan ATM too. I thought he would have been a great fit on Pittsburgh, especially with their lack of talent on the wings outside of Neal.

So it wasn't just me who HATES the Derrick Pouliot selection?
