Name: Simon Aspelin
Position: RW
Birth date: July 16, 1994
Birth place: Reyjavik, Iceland
Handedness: Right
National team: Finland
Current team: Rage Manhattan Rage

Offensive stats:
PH = Puck Handling: 90
FO = Face Offs: 50
PA = Passing: 80
SC = Scoring: 99
PS = Penalty Shot: 50

Aspelin is just flat out dominant on offense. It is easy to see why he is called a sniper, as he just can simply shoot the puck. The kid has a ton of talent on offense and could become an elite goalscorer in the league. However, that does not mean he has no passing skills, as he does. Aspelin is a fantastic controller of the puck and you can see how calm he is with the puck on his stick and on top of that, he knows when to pass the puck and how to put the exact touch the pass needs. As a whole, Aspelin has a ton of talent on offense, which should make the Manhattan Rage extremely happy.

Defensive stats
CK = Checking: 50
FG = Fighting: 50
DF = Defense: 50

In this area of his game, Aspelin needs a lot of work. From the view of an outsider, it appears as though he is one of many young snipers who believe they do not need to work on defense. However, they do. In this league, forwards with a decent scoring ability, but a great defensive ability, tend to do very well. Right now, he has the opposite and players with this kind of build tend to struggle out of the gates, despite his offensive skill. He needs a lot of work on his defense if he wants to be a star.

Athleticism stats
DI = Discipline: 62
SK = Skating: 86
ST = Strength: 50
EN = Endurance: 85
DU = Durability: 50

This area really brings both positives and negatives. Let's start with the positives. Aspelin is a very quick skater and rarely loses his balance. He is able to combine his speed with his puck handling ability in order to pull off impressive dangles of the defenders. As a whole, this is a very good part of his game. His endurance is another plus, as with it, he is able to play long shifts without becoming tired, allowing his team to maximize the amount of ice time he gets. Now, let's get to the negatives. First, we will talk about his strength. Much like his defense, it has been ignored, which will not help his rookie campaign. He needs to add some muscle, or else he will be continue to be pushed off the puck far too easily, which is a massive issue of his. Without added strength, he could struggle. However, if I were his coach, I would get him working on his defense first. Finally, his durability is an issue. In a league where injuries play a factor, having little-to-no durability could be troublesome. With some added time in the weight room, however, this can be fixed in no time.
