Myers has been quiet since the chaos that hit the Chiefs this off season but we have it here today the exclusive interview from the Chiefs now number 1 defender.
Both Spezza and Mortallero claim they didnt demand out that they wanted best for team because they wanted to test FA one has resigned after being traded signed almost instantly why do you think that is?
Myers First im going to talk Mortallero his demand out kinda shocked me to be honest i don't think anyone did anything to insult him and he was probably one of our most active players and seemed happy heck even had a romance with Miller. Personally i don't see why he would demand out like that top line minutes PP PK and on a championship caliber team im lost and still annoyed at this one.
Next is Spezza this guy REALLY pissed me off after demanding his way out (the second time in two years). I said i wasn't going to say anything bad but screw it i don't care if he fires me as Co-GM something needs to be said about a guy who has everything except a C on his jersey who demands out for a 2nd bloody time. Hate to tell you bud if you ever want to don a C on your jersey you gotta actually lead and build up trust and work hard and not demand out like a big baby every time you don't get a C on your jersey you had top line mins too PP and PK plus a letter A on a team one win from a cup? He claims it was for the best of the team (heard that one last time too bud) says hes gonna test FA then signs right away for the same contract he bought himself out of and for MUCH less over 10 years :S. I'm sorry bud i respect you as a GM but you haven't shown me any reason to respect you as a player.

Myers I know this will cause a stir but im speaking my mind there has been so much talk of turmoil in our locker room because of these two and it pisses me off cuz its the farthest thing from the truth. Spezza and Mortallero had only there interests in mind they didn't even think about the team that helped them develop and gave them a chance after they burned bridges its sickening.
Well said Derringer is set to retire this season how badly does this hurt your team next year and do you think there are underlying reasons for him leaving the club in his prime?
Myers I have great respect for Derringer he has already said he would love to rejoin the Chiefs with his new player so no i dont think there is any other reason then he lost interest in his player and wants to rejuvenate himself in this league with a new player. There is no denying his retirement will hurt our team badly next season. It also puts alot of pressure on me to step in and fills his shoes. It saddens me to see him leave because me and him built chemistry together late in the year and were one of the best pairs in the playoffs i hope we can repeat that success this year and win the cup with him on the team cuz next year will be abit of a rebuild for us for sure.
Very well put. After all this going on two big pieces of the cup run gone what do you think the chances of your team doing the same are?
Myers Personally i cant wait for the season to start with all this going on everyone is now pegging us as bottom feeders saying they are the reason we win and went far i cant wait to prove them wrong we have an eager group and Mastro and Hunter the two players we added i feel can pick up some of the slack the two ex players left not to mention Klose and Miller will be a year older and i think they both will have break out year. On the back end we now have two capable offensive dmen in me and Parmesean. I should have a much better year offensively this year and that too will help off set any losses. We are a deeper team everyone forgets this our 3rd line now is almost all active versus last year plus our two active top lines and we have 2 full active d pairings as well. So why should we be worse cuz two players who thought nothing of the team and just themselves demanded out no we are still tight nit group and we believe we can come back even stronger this year and prove teams wrong.
