Another season come and gone, any questions?
#KreverCurse

what do you feel you are missing that will put your team into cup contention.
Will we be looking to take a step back from cup contention or a step closer to cup contention?
Interview The Stars were considered one of the best teams, maybe even THE best, before the start of the season. But while anything can happen in a Playoff-series, your team also only finished 4th in the Conference in the Regular Season. What happened there, especially towards the end of the season when your team plummeted from the top-spot in the East to the last Playoff-spot in about a week?

Interview Short and simple: Was the Andersson-trade a mistake?

Interview Not winning a single one of your home-games in the Playoffs has to be troubling, do you think this was just a coincidende or is there a reason your team gave away a 2-0 series lead at home and then got finished in Toronto as well in Game 6?

Interview What are some of the bright spots this season?

Interview Who is your favorite to win the cup now?
I  you Krever Smile

I think I'm happy with our direction. This year was a letdown obviously but it's more of a bump in the road than anything.

I don't know if there's anything in particular. Almost every season there's a different winner. There are a lot of good teams in our league and they can't all win so we just have to keep trying.

We're going to stay the course but like every other off-season, the future will also be in mind. The reason we have a shot to be competitive well into the future is that we've been careful with our building, really making sure that we don't ruin the future for a bigger shot in the present.

The more seasons we're competitive the better chance we'll have and I think every season we have a real chance to go for the Cup. So basically the off-season plan is to continue to add assets, add some young players and let the guys we do have continue to improve and develop.
why can't you win just one series? 13 seasons, most of those if not all in the playoffs and you're 0-something. gimme an explanation, j-krevs.

rashad "da gawd" thomas has a player option for s15. do u expect him to opt in?
What's the main piece you need to add to reach the next step?

I don't know what happened to be honest. We looked like we were on track for the first two thirds of the season and it just fell apart. We had a pretty big edge in shots on goal per game, our big guns were scoring, and most importantly we were solid in our own end. But something stopped clicking and we had one of the worst stretches of hockey I can ever remember as a GM.

In the playoffs we played a lot better but we ran into one of the top goalies in the league and he outplayed our goalie, and that was the difference in the post-season, I thought we outplayed them for a good part of the series but sometimes that's just not enough.

Absolutely not, I think it was a no-brainer of a deal because quite simply all we really did was move down from the middle of the first round to the first pick in the second round, and for what? A major upgrade in goal and a better shot at a championship.

Had I not made the trade and we lost in the first round, everyone would be sitting there going 'Toronto's biggest downfall was in goal', and criticizing our inability to go out and land a veteran goalie.

Well, we did that and it didn't work out but Andersson certainly wasn't the reason we lost. He gave us a nice boost in that department and I'm sure Aalto also learned a lot. On the other side of it, Aalto lost his job to a veteran goalie and while there's no shame in that, he's extra motivated right now.

Andersson's contract dips down and he's going to be back with us next season, and Aalto knows that while he's our goalie of the future, he's going to be battling for starts in Season 14.

So in short, yeah, I think there would be a lot more questions right now had we not gone out and gotten a goalie, and since Andersson will also be back next season, I wouldn't take that trade back.

I think it's just a matter of we played a great team and lost some close games. We were a strong home team in the regular season and overall we're quite good at home. Hey, Manhattan was 1-2 on the road so it was a series for the road teams in the end. We went 0-3 at home and that's disappointing but I don't see any reason to read too far into that.

There aren't many, other than the fact that we were one of the stingiest defensive teams in the league. That and the play of Mika Aalto. I thought for a rookie, Aalto stood quite tall and had us in top spot in the division late in the season and to me that tells me this is a player that can handle being an every day starting SHL goalie.

Other than that, I'm disappointed with how everything went. Our top scorers fell off a cliff and didn't produce the way they needed; our defencemen didn't provide the offence we're used to seeing; and our goaltending didn't give us the clutch saves we needed down the stretch.

So this is one season I'm looking forward to putting behind me.

I've gotta go with Manhattan. That's a complete team from top to bottom. They were getting close last season but this year they went out and bridged the gaps with some big additions and now they're ready to make a big run.

I really like Heiss and I think he's going to lead that team to a championship, so that's who my money's on.

that's a clown question bro, we won a playoff series last season.

Thomas, I expect this to be his last season with the Stars, I've heard a rumour he's leaving the league.

I don't think there is a single big piece, I think we just need to keep building it up, staying active, and having fun, we'll get there eventually. I have to remind our guys that while winning a championship is important and our goal, we can't let that take the fun out of it. We're a good team and we're gonna win a lot of games so just sit back and enjoy it, our time is going to come.
