Hello friends,
My name is Steven Jalopski, I play defence for the Hamilton Steelhawks of the SHL, and am a proud Montreal Impact alumni. Throughout the SHL and SMJHL, I've come to be known as a light-hearted guy who can joke around with anybody, but today I'm here to talk to you about something serious. Something that needs all of our attention, and something that hundreds of thousands of people across the world have to struggle with on a daily basis.
That something, is Bitchy Resting Face. Bitchy Resting Face is a serious condition, which takes away from the quality-of-life of those afflicted. Although Bitchy Resting Face is primarily seen in females, the condition is not gender-specific, and many men also struggle with, what medical professionals have specified as "Asshole Resting Face". Whether it be male or female, the affliction is the same.
Signs of the condition are as follows:
- They look like they are kind of thoughtfully sad for no reason.
- You may feel the urge to avoid them completely.
- You think 'Oh, that woman/man looks like a bitch/asshole!'
Sometimes, the person you are silently judging may not be a bitch or an asshole at all, they may just be suffering from Bitchy or Asshole Resting Face. Usually, those affected by the condition suffer in silence, but I'm here today to spread awareness of this condition. You don't have to run from this problem, you can think "Hey! That woman might not be a bitch at all, that might just be her bitch face, and that's okay."
Let's take a moment to honour those battling courageously against this condition:

These individuals, and many others, suffer needlessly, and I'm here to reach out for help in the fight against ignorance. It takes the effort of every individual to stop judging those affected by Bitchy or Asshole Resting Face. Although it seems like an insurmountable task, I fully believe in the cause, and have decided to step forward and speak out, in an effort to help those affected, and I'm calling on you to do the same. The next time you see someone who may look like an asshole or bitch, think twice and always remember they may just be a great person suffering from Bitchy/Asshole Resting face.
