Today it was announced that Quinton Johnso would be Kelowna new assistant, alongside with Jordan MacArthur as the other assistant and Sam Slade as the captain. Johnso was thrilled to hear this news. "I was quite surprised that I was picked as one of the assistants, but I'll do my best to fulfill my duties. I think we have quite an elite squad here in Kelowna, and I don't think we could have asked for a better captain or assistant in Slade and MacArthur. As for the whole turnover in front office, we all will miss stud a lot, he was a great gm. But those types of things are out of our control, and I'm excited to begin working with wadey on capturing that championship. Don't underestimate us, as we will make you pay if you do. I think that we have a great chance at winning it all this year."

So far, after 6 games in the preseason Kelowna finds themselves 3 and 3, though 2 of their losses were only by one. As for Johnso, he is on a point a game pace, with 4 goals and 4 assists and a plus minus of +9. Johnso struggled on the draw, however, as he was only 45% on the draw. "I'm really upset with the way I was playing. I know it's only preseason, but still I wished I would have had more points, and I defiantly need to work on my draws. However I think that we worked well as a team, and if we play the same way in the regular season, then we shouldn't have many problems. I can't wait for the regular season to start."
