Love this for Tampa! Always been a fan of Gagner, may be under performing now but he won't have nearly as much pressure in Tampa where he can be a 3rd line center or even a 2nd line winger, plus I've never liked Purcell

Nice pick up for TB, I think Gagner will improve in a better situation. Don't know enough about Purcell to say how he helps Edmonton, though anything at this is an improvement, even if they did lose a player I think that is quite skilled.

About time, it feels like there has been Gagner trade talk for approximately forever at this point.

Good for both teams. I think Purcell will do well with RNH and I believe Gagner will fit well behind Stamkos in TB.

IMO Tampa needs a winger over a center cause they have Filps unless Filps is now a winger. Gagner will be a solid guy for Tampa and I really like Purcell on the Oilers.

Gagner I have to think will play wing. He's imo the 4th best center on the team now behind Filps, Johnson and obviously Stammer. Gagner is the type of guy I could see realistically playing with Stamkos on the top line thinking about it. Stamkos has neither of his linemates he had to start last season (Purcell and Marty). Gagner is pretty solid as a playmaker and he's speedy (Like Marty). I think he'll have a shot there on the top line at the very least, if not I see him ending up with Johnson and Palat on the 3rd line.

Yeah wouldnt be surprised if it was Gagner-Stamkos-Drouin.

:lol: Tampa being one of my favorite team I cant wait to see them next season, really hope they can turn it around from last season.
