There is no way in hell Gardiner moves unless we get one hell of a return. Not many kids step into the NHL and play the way he has for us. So much potential.

They're both good.
I wasn't the biggest Gardiner fan to start the season off, but now the guy's one of my favorite players on the team. It would take a hell of a lot to take him away from Toronto if I was the GM, and I suspect Burke has similar thoughts.

In the whole what... half a season he has played? Give him time and he'll take a few cheap shots I'm sure.
Subban is also a class act. The fact that he bugs and agitates is just part of his game. Everyone but Montreal fans will hate him.

You have never watched gardiner play at any level. He is a good kid and not that type of player
Subban has been suspended a couple times and they don't call Him slew foot subban for nothing

You can compare them all you want and say Leaf fans are overrating him all you want. But sit down and watch him play a few games and when you see how unbelievably a rookie defender plays at both ends of the ice, and how he does so many of the little things right you will be astonished. The kid just looks special out there.

Below the NHL level, no I haven't. I watch Leaf games a lot because I live here in T.O, and am not saying he isn't a good player. In fact, I think TOR better hold onto this kid because he's something special.
All I'm saying is eventually he'll make a mistake. They all do. But who calls him slew foot subban? I've never heard that nick name for him a day in my life.

this.. leafs fans do overrate players so critics might be quick to say it's all hype. but in all honesty Gardiner is probably the most valuable player on the team right now and has been through most of the season, and with the emergence of Lupul and the strong play of Kessel, that says a lot.
Subban is going to be one hell of a defender in the NHL. So is Gardiner. both have different games and will be impact players for their teams in different ways. You cannot compare the 2 head on, because they serve different needs for both teams.
lol and in the beginning of the season, these guys were saying kessel is the best player in the league
subban is a much better offensive and defensive player, flat out better alround player. i love the fact that he can get under opponents skin and intimidate, something gardiner does NOT have.
too bad subban gets no offensive help because if he did, no one in their right minds would be saying gardiner is better than subban. oh by the way subban is a +3 on a terrible team, gardiner is only a +5
