Hello ladies and gentleman.....and grandpa McZehrl. Today we are here to little bit look at the past. Season sixteen SHL entry draft. A lots of people are saying that this draft is one of the weakest drafts in SHL history but we can find some big names there, who probably will write their name in SHL history. So lets begin.

Season sixteen NHL entry draft started with Winnipeg Jets pick.

[Image: NikolaiEhlers-OfficialDraft-Photo_Winnip...50x420.jpg]

Jets started the draft and they picked player from Kelowna Knights. Maxim Horvat
Horvat really wasnt the best , because there were a lot of guys with activity like Horvat. For example Stryfe, Boominen, Stryker and other guys as well. So when Winnipeg drafted Max Horvat things were looking good, but suddenly Horvat went inactive and he only returned this season and Jets finally traded him away for another prospect - Zanis Zarins. So yeah that really wasnt best example how to use your 1st pick , but lets begin.

Manhattan Rage were on the clock with 2nd overall pick.

Rage picked Czcech defender Azriel Stryfe. Stryfe clearly was one of the best guys from this draft class and Rage made very good choice with him. Stryfe just continued to grow and become better player, but after playing 3 seasons in the Rage he got traded. Now he's the player of Toronto North Stars.

Third pick was for the Minnesota Chiefs.

They picked Tom Sawyer and at the very start Sawyer became captain of the Minnesota Chiefs. Sawyer wasnt very active, but he's well known member at the forum and Chiefs picked him for a reason. Already after 2 seasons Sawyer took his team to Challenge Cup Finals, but Chiefs lost to Riot. After that , before draft Sawyer was traded to North Stars. He was angry at Chiefs managament, but now he's the Alternate Captain of North Stars.

Fourth pick. Seattle Riot

Riot took Snowden Manning with their pick. Patches was playing in Riot with his old player and probably that was the reason why Seattle picked Manning. Manning was very active in his rookie season , but he started to slow down a little bit with his TP earning and now he's barely active. I really hope that he will come back.

Fifth pick for Winnipeg Jets

They took Slava Boominen. Slava was very active in his rookie season and he was great choice for first round and 5th pick but same as Horvat he went inactive. Jets had very bad luck because their 1st OVA and 5th OVA picks went inactive.

Sixth pick for Los Angeles Panthers

LAP took Niklas Stryker. Very good choice for 6th overall pick as they took Stryker. Stryker won 4 star cup that season and he was very big piece for Vancouver Whalers. Niklas won cup with Los Angeles next season , but in S19 he was traded to Chiefs and now, this season he was traded to upcoming star team - Calgary Dragons

Seventh pick for Winnipeg Jets

Jets bad luck continues as they picked Issa Khan Jr. Khan has basically inactive and after two seasons he retired. Jets had three picks in first round and all three were very bad choices just because two went inactive and third one retired very early. Just imagine if all these three players now was in Jets and they were active

Eight pick for Rage

Boomcheck. Good rookie season. BUST and retiring after two seasons.

9th pick for Dragons

Janis Vitols. Latvian with very active rookie season. BUST after that.

10th pick for NEW.

New England picked Quentny Blackfyre. He had good rookie season and he got 216TP , but after that he went inactive and got traded to Dragons. He never came back.

11th pick for WKP

Player who has only 200TP after 5 seasons and he still is playing. Bad choice for WKP. Better luck next time

12th pick for Jets

Bad luck continues. Jets 4th pick in first round. ANOTHER INACTIVE BUST. just tf gm!?!?!

13th pick Manhattan Rage

Second pick for Rage in this pick and its Craig Iginla. Rookie with active first season , but he's a BUST after that.

14th pick for Los Angeles Panther

Bad choice for LA just because there was some better players than this BUST goalie. Inactive first season. Keeps being shit after that. But by surprise he's playing till today as he is backup for Blizzard

15th pick for Calgary Dragons

Probably the biggest steal in this draft. Roberts Birkavs. Calgary drafted him just with hopes that he will became active and that happened. Being drafted he was only at 177 TP , but now he's at 810TP and he's 3rd best by TP in this draft being 15th pick. First is Stryfe, second is Stryker

16th pick for Seattle Riot

SPIDERMAN. Riot picked Peter Parker. Duey was playing in Riot with his old player just like Patches so probably thats why Riot drafted him. Very good steal for 16th overall pick as he is still active which is very rare for this draft

17th pick for Winnipeg Jets

Matiass Vianen. ANOTHER INACTIVE BY JETS

18th pick for Minnesota Chiefs

Chiefs took Wingels with 18th overall pick. Very good pick late in the draft. Wingels was not very active in first season and he's average player, currently playing for Renegades and he's set to retire after this or next season

19th pick for Dragons

BUST

20th pick for WKP

BUST

21th pick for Dragons

BUST

22th pick for WKP

STEAL. BUST. DAIGOD. Probably the biggest bust in the draft who is full of busts. Daigle is so good that he had season with 5 and 7 points ,but he's starting to get better and maybe he will reach his potential

EVERYTING after that....

BUSTS
Cool idea. Especially for us new guys to learn the history.

I feel like you literally made this article just to toot your own horn.

I was the most active guy going into that draft. I was writing an article a day and consistently working on things around the site.

Alas, I don't really care about what anyone else thinks, your opinion is your opinion, but i'm just fixing your little "There were several more active people" argument which is severely misinformed and extremely ignorant

Klose >>> Jody 3way ainec tbh
S16 Mock Draft

Go through this and tell me I was a bad first overall pick. Inform yourself before you make stupid articles.

I didn't live up to what I should have for Winnipeg and I regret my inactivity but it was during a very busy and crucial part of my life, and if I didn't do that I wouldn't have accomplished some of the great things I was able to accomplish in my life in the past year. Maybe I didn't pan out to be the best player in that draft, but to say I was a bad pick at the time is just plain ignorance.

Leafs made the right pick at the time

IMA SHOW YOU HOW GREAT I AM
I was going to make a throwback Thursday for s20 draft but I have no computer. Dat Bojo tho
Horvat why don't you just show him your ring and talk about how ur in the playoffs now Smile)
Deener, the only reason you were highly rated is because people knew you were going #1 and they wanted TPE. Thats not much of an argument
Horvat had more points than Briks in S19,S18,S17. didn't bother going back before.
S20 Horvat switched to a defense.

Soooo I don't think you can claim Horvat is a bust. Based on results. Oh yeah... he also has a cup Smile)

DAIGOD on the other hand is legit 0% shitter Smile)
