Agreed, you give to this site to give back for what you've gotten, not to earn an advantage on members who may not be able to give as much as you. Especially in a competitive environment.

No, I use a signature rotator which you can find here:
http://sig.grumpybumpers.com/
It allows you to upload multiple images to it, it will randomly select which it will show. For mine, you'll often see my new player the most because I uploaded multiple copies of it, occasionally you'll see a flashback sig of my previous years. =]

That is so cool, I do not have enough sigs to pull of such a thing, but that is amazing and I am going to use that in the future.
