It was a long decision making process, and I received a surprising amount of very strong applications, but in the end I ended up going with someone who I considered a top contender since the very beginning.

Hoover and I have had our differences recently, but I decided that in the end I had to go with someone who always has the Whalers' best interests at heart. Even if it means disagreeing with me sometimes, I know Hoover will do his very best to ensure that the Vancouver Whalers retain their position as one of the most storied franchises in the SMJHL. He has been the heart and soul of our Locker Room ever since I chose him with my very first pick in my very first draft as GM, and it's been amazing seeing him grow as a member from then until now. He is the absolute best choice for this position, and I cannot wait to work with him going forward

I am really excited to become the next Co-GM of the Vancouver Whalers. I have loved the team the moment I got drafted here and it is quite surreal to be able to help lead the team and be able to have a strong influence on future members. Look forward to working with JHS, my fellow GMs in the SMJHL and with my Whaler guys!
