So with Banananov startng to fall and probably going to stink in the next couple seasons, I need to make money and get back into shape!

So I am going to start something that shouldn't take a lot of work but will make a lot of cash! I call it the "Game of the Sim!" This series will highlight the top game of the recent sim, including discussion of what happened and what you may have missed, similar to my "In Case You Missed it" series which I stopped doing because stuff.

The first game of the sim belongs to Game 240 between the Los Angeles Panthers and the Edmonton Blizzard!

#1 Los Angeles Panthers (28-6-2) VS. #3 Edmonton Blizzard (23-12-0) </div>

The game started off quickly, with the Panthers going to the powerplay for a Barney Stinson hooking penalty. Jaxson Reynolds (Strange, Karlsson) would score at the 1:53 mark, his 12th goal of the season. The Panthers would keep pouring it on with another Stinson penalty, but they would be shut down. Edmonton responded in the middle of the period with a goals from Zalleras Szlercheck (Koroviev, Kane) and Pedro Sarantez (Szlerchek), their 11th and 13th goals on the season, respectively. These two goals came at 4 minutes apart and they took control of the period from there on out. The second period ended and the Blizzard had the lead.

The second period had as much action as the first, with the Panthers tying the game at 4:35 with a goal from Marc-Andre Malkin (Ruutu, Strange), his 6th of the season. They would again take the lead five minutes later when Jean-Luc Reflieux (Lindstrom, Fedorov) scored his 11th on the year, making it 3-2. Edmonton refused to go away, for two minutes after that goal they would tie the game yet again when Chico Salmon (Scholz) scored his 6th, making it anyone's game. That is for only three minutes, because Ryan King (Kekkonen, Ruutu) would not be denied with his 18th on the year, giving the Panthers their third lead of the game! The second period would end with the score 4-3 in favor of Los Angeles!

Did you think the third period would be any different? Of course not! The period took a bit of time to get going, but it became a powder keg at the 8 minute mark! The Blizzard took advantage of the powerplay and Chico Salmon (Windsor, Scholz) scored his second of the game, tying the game right back up! Then Evgeni Karpotsov (Scholz) took the lead back for the Blizzard 27 seconds later! But would Los Angeles take that sitting down? Nope! Ryan King (Malkin, Kekkonen) would respond a minute later with his second of the game as well, AGAIN tying the hockey game! The Panthers would then get another PP opportunity and this time Sven Karlsson (Ruutu, Strange) would get his 11th and take the lead for Los Angeles. Ryan King (Ruutu, Kekkonen) and Anton Fedorov (Lindstrom, Uhaa) would score two more helpers for the Panthers, giving the Panthers a crazy third period surge and an 8-5 win in the hockey game!

Why was this the game of the sim? Not only did Ryan King register a hat trick and the final game tying goal, the lead was exchanged a total of five times! The intense third period only added to the entertainment factor of this hockey game, and the goalies were not spared in the process!
