Thanks to JR, c and Zach for questions and comments. Cheers
Yeah, Slappy, make sure to ask more Cowboys questions Smile

I think you nailed your "thing", though, it's definitely being the Bill and Ted of the podcasts. Kind of like the one funky part of a sports radio show. If you had to typecast people to different parts of the schedule:

TBSH for the 6 - 10 AM listeners, waking up to something a bit raunchy and funny in the morning
TPIWRM for SFW sports talk from 10 AM - 2 PM
Klosecast from 2 PM - 6 PM for some reflective sports takes on the days' news
Buzzkill for Saturdays 10 - 2 PM because you can't fit it in during the weekdays
MC's gonna MC on Sunday because, c'mon, who listens to that anyways?
The rest of the slew take up the midnight hours of weekdays for filler airtime and are rotated in and out based on availability
RiotCast is a weekly procedural, probably Fridays taking 1 hour from TPIWRM and 1 from Klosecast

Yeah, I've always thought of Klosecast as the NPR of the SHL and us as the idiot local drunken sports guys that do weekly shows from the nearest Hooters.

TPIWRM (damn that's a long acronym) is sorta like a strange cross between a folksy southern storyteller and some kind of Suze Orman type self improvement person except without all the judgement and shrillness. Have to keep, thinking about that one. Hmm

MC's maybe like a George Noory Coast to Coast type deal without aliens and black helicopters.

The Buzzkill is like a really passionate science grad student doing a local issues based show on his college station.

LB and Jogy do theirs every once in a while like picking up some stray AM signal at night from a foreign country.

Embarrassed to say I've never actually listened to the Riotcast as of yet.

Edit: Double post, but I think I got it for TPIWRM:

A Prairie Home Companion, post-Garrison Keillor, but with swearing.
Just started listening, but reading the comments ...

Dammit mpc you want TPIWRM to be a fucking SFW show, how am I supposed to fucking say fuck all the fucking time on that fucking show if it's SFW? :D

Ok, gimme 5 seconds...

I originally wrote that line for Klosecast and was lazy to rewrite it, so you got the slot instead. You're welcome.

I mean, I could totally do SFW. I work in retail after all. But do I want to?

The other option is in the double post up above, are you willing to sing during your pod?

Fuck no. Besides, Slappy is a much better singer.

It's pretty funny you say that. I was actually thinking about Garrison Keillor. PIRM ( I've decided this is a more manageable acronym and, as a bonus, can be pronounced if necessary) is like a more topical and opinionated Praire Home Companion, with a southern flair.

If I can be allowed to repurpose the rainbow metaphor, the SHL podcasts are all their own unique colors but all part of one spectrum, pressed up against one another making a brilliant whole. (Alright, maybe I went a little overly poetic, so sue me). It's a cool little sub-community I really enjoy.

It is a bit of its own community, isn't it? Almost like the GFX sub-community in a ways.
