Well, we've finally done it. We finally went completely off the deep end.

The Big Slappy Hour #81 comes in at a heavyweight two hours and three minutes long!

That's right, beating the previous record by roughly a half hour, number eighty one is longer than most Hollywood movies. There are a variety of reasons for this starting with the fact that we had one metric shit-ton of questions. We answered these in our usual rambling, (hopefully)humorous and frequently off-topic fashion. We also have a special tribute to a very important man in the Big Slappy world. The last major reason for the length of this episode is a fair deal of ranting and raving, primarily on my part, regarding the recent Head Office illegal usurpation of power resulting in an invalid punishment being handed down to Seattle. I won't rant any further about it here. You'll get enough by listening without me adding to it.

Anyway, despite it's marathon length, I think it's a fun one. It seemed to really flow without any dead spots. I know I had a blast and I suspect some of you will as well. That is assuming you don't die of old age before it's over, of course.

The real question here is, are you up to the challenge? Will you join us on this two hour trip to madness or sit idly by as greatness passes down the road?

This is the epic Big Slappy Hour #81!

Thanks to c, Zach, Bojo, LB, Incite, Pris and Wally for questions and comments. Cheers
As you predicted, I absolutely listened on Soundcloud before you posted it here. Happened to not have a race this weekend, so this was part of my Saturday evening entertainment and basically the only SHL-related thing I looked at for most of the day.

Got just a little worked up over HO, didn't you, boys? Tongue

Well worth the two-plus hours, although I do wish I had looked at the length before I started . Had to take a break at halfway, but still glad I listened to it all.

Not to say we didn't *need* to win the game against Minnesota, Bonk, but that was a game where we started a backup goalie, so it's not the one I'd love to have back most. The one I'd love to have back is a game we lost to Seattle about 15 games in. Outshot the Riot 45-21, but lost 4-3 with two forwards scoring their first goals of the season. Wasted a Fleming three-point game, too.

Loving the Podcast but I was very offended when you confused me for Wally. Put some respek on my name, pls?

Awesome answers guys. Love the Podcast and thanks for the love! :D
I have most of a town planning degree! But I haven't done any GIS stuff in years. I can't even find any jobs to apply for that say they need someone who knows it. :(

Otherwise, great podcast. I wish I'd remembered to ask you two about your fantasy results because you both did super well.
So, update: Danny Foster broke the PIMs record by at least 25 minutes, so guaranteed goon season. Got that right. He would have broken the hits record for this era, had he not done that last season. Foster S35 hit 40 less times than Foster S34 (300 hits -> 6 hits/game). I agree a combined records list would be awesome, but it'd have to be rated kind of like the eras or whatever the NHL does.

I lost my shit at the "Beautiful Mind" comment Smile) fucking brilliant.

Wrote an appeal, lost the appeal. Any chance you're voting differently in the HO elections this year?

I'll let GCool's element thing die (like I had a choice/decision in the matter) Smile) was a good run lol

I agree with the 2 hours -> 1 hour/member policy in principle. We'll see what anyone else thinks.

Damn right, the master fantasy whisperers are doing their thing. Just remember that when you write your fantasy recap article. Wink

Pretty sure that was Bonk. I'm gonna blame him either way. Tongue I did pick you guys to win the first round anyway.

I think the whole point is moot since if you guys could have managed any single win more than you did, you'd be in the playoff, instead of playing golf.

There should never have been an appeal as there should have never been a punishment initially. No rule was broken.
