Good evening SHL,
It was brought to the attention of the head office that West Kendall Platoon's Mattias Holmberg was attempting to circumvent regression by postponing the claiming of old PTs until after his regression was calculated.
The definition of regression circumvention in the rulebook is as follows:
In completing his updates following regression, Holmberg claimed PTs that dated back more than a full season as well as PTs from throughout the current season that had sat unclaimed until after regression was calculated.
This is a clear violation of regression circumvention rules, and as such the head office has voted to dock 15 TPE from Mattias Holmberg - the 5 TPE that should have come off in regression, as well as an addition 10 TPE fine.
As always, Mattias Holmberg has the right to appeal the decision to the head office.
<hr>
Noting that this case brings up an issue that can be closed to at least prevent part of this in the future, the rules concerning the claiming of old PTs (II.F.5) will be revised to entirely prohibit the claiming of PTs from the previous season once regression has been calculated.
While this doesn't complete close out the potential for regression circumvention, it at least limits the ability to do so further than the current iteration of the rules.
On behalf of the SHL head office,

The definition of regression circumvention in the rulebook is as follows:
Quote:Any attempt by any player to circumvent the SHL Regression system, including but not limited to: the intentional delay of claiming and or applying TPE as a means of altering their TPE count for the purposes of calculating regression, shall be subject to fines, suspension and the loss of TPE, as per the Head Office.
