This might be the toughest decision I've had to make in my time in the SHL, but I feel it is a decision I have to make in order to advance my player's progression.
First off I like to thank the Texas Renegades as well as <a href='index.php?showuser=2206' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-13'>Phobospwns</a>, <a href='index.php?showuser=1730' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-3'>Durden</a>, and <a href='index.php?showuser=1770' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-13'>Allen</a> for their faith in me during my time with the team. When I recreated, nobody but these guys had believed in me and were the only guys who knew I could create an active player. I am forever grateful to these guys for their belief in me.
That being said. This is the hardest decision I have to make in my time in this league. For the past year now the Renegades were a team that I called home. Many of my friends are on this team. They've assisted me on my player development to this point. But I feel to advance my player's progression, I must leave this team. It's not a team I ever wanted to leave but I felt I need to due to the recent events that had happened. (To which I feel the tampering punishment as a whole is too harsh on a team, but that is a whole other story.)
As for my free agency experience, it was nothing short of interesting. Teams made me a lot of great offers. Many people, a lot of them who weren't GMs at all were enticing me to join their team. I am very flattered that many people thought of me so highly in that regard as I've never thought of myself to be a well liked person by the masses. I told GM's and players alike that I will think about their offers and will make a decision sometime after the draft. I think playing the waiting game was my biggest mistake
As the draft came along, I went on the forums and saw some moves made. Many of them came from teams that were interested in me. They traded for some big players who filled the holes in those teams lineups that I was supposed to fill. Because of that, either myself or the GMs involved had to end interest as they had to change guarantees that were discussed during negotiations. This and the whole Texas tampering scandal has left a sour taste in my mouth. Suddenly I don't feel too interested in the other teams that have offered me contracts. For that I apologize to those GMs
I have decided that unless circumstances have changed, I will sit out the entire S38 season to find my smile.
