Hasek season was a rather dull affair waiting plenty of time to get into the crease with 6 games played he just hit the minimum. He knew it was a risk, but he admits he wished he started abit more. Now watching as the Whalers chase a cup, likely only to play when the starter gets pulled. The big Czech admits hes happy the season is almost over, but realizes he is in for many of these season before he hits the big league. Stating he knows he needs to be patient with his development, and focus on himself not how much ice time hes getting.

Its dull sitting on the bench, but ive been supportive of the team every step of the way. Obviously i would like to start, everyone would but you have to earn it right now im trying to focus on me, the draft is right around the corner i expect to be another late round selection given my position. It will be frustrating, hearing people called before me but it comes with being a goalie. Im out to be the best i can be and turn myself into a star goalie in this league for what i hope will be years to come.

I need to train harder, this offseason once i get into the bigger camps will be huge for me. The SMJHL has been a rather dull affair, i feel like an outsider in the Whalers LR. Its hard when you do not speak english very well, i hope to be a bigger part of that room next year but that comes with the role aswell. If a team is looking for a starter and Vancouver does not need me to be that guy i hope they move me. The SMJHL is a devlopment league and i can only develop so much playing 6 games a year, in the minors.
