Simulation Hockey League

I wanted to take some time to formally thank these three wonderful people who made me feel so welcome these past couple days. I tend to get pretty competitive, so the whole SMJHL draft process has got me a bit on edge. I know everyone gets drafted and round number doesn't matter and all the teams are good, but of course it was inevitable that I would get swept up in the fight to stand out and get noticed by GMs and scouts. That's just the way my insecurities tend to play out I guess. But these are great big hockey minds who answered all my dumb new-guy questions and saved me from the frustration of not being contacted by many teams like I imagine the top prospects were. Thank you for everything.

Honorable mention to @artermis, @frithjofr, @hotdog, @JayWhy, @ml002, and everyone else who took part in the Anchorage combine.

The draft is in about 7 hours and I'm really not worried. Whatever happens I'll be forever grateful for the people who showed me what participation in this site can be. I thought I was just signing up for a hockey sim league. Boy am I glad to be wrong.

Good luck in the draft! Goalies tend to be drafter later in the rounds, but I'm sure you'll go to a great team.

Its a brilliant move. Helped a ton with scouting and stuff. Tbh, the “Meet the GMs” chat came because the HO at the the time didn’t want our rookies having to be in rookie discord, and a lot of teams’ combines. Becomes too much, or so they said. Good work.
