There are two different poses that he could be sculpted as. First would be a stick in the air about to take a hard slap shot. The other would be two hands on his stick about to check someone into the boards and take away the puck from them.

Listen, Derek Martin isn't a player that has been hailed as a hero for the Carolina Kraken. He prides himself on doing his job. That said, the statue would have to be first goal celly with the famed squid battle cry : NO EOTTIRD. He lives and dies by this motto and there isn't a more fitting line to be inscribed for history.

I think my Pose or my Statue would be one where there are 2 people on it. I would love to have it infront of my childhood arena with another famous player that is from Montreal, Quebec in the SHL. Who would that be? I am assuming there are a lot of options that came through this league for that.

The statue is something to behold, and to take your picture with! It isn't anything flashy or showy, no magic pose or superhuman look. It's all about the beard, and the way it flows with a gentle breeze in the air.
