RE: S79 PT #4: Always On line - Ragnar - 11-10-2024 Furious chicken is so much fucking better than Ongo Gablogian it makes you wonder how the hell they are defense partners and how the hell they would ever build any sort of chemistry. That would be like a caveman appearing in today’s world and a harvard professor trying to build chemistry with him. Even the coaches knew it would not be possible, so they gave furious chicken two more minutes on average per game than ongo Gablogian. This was no doubt to give chicken some time to not have to clean up after ongo’s mistakes on the ice, putting him with a defense partner who wasn’t just out there trying to use his bowling ball shaped body to lay giant hits, but forgetting that he is 4 feet 9 inches tall and can’t even slow anyone down with a hit, regardless of the fact he is 500 pounds. The bottom line is ongo isn’t built for chemistry, he’s built to eat Taco Bell. RE: S79 PT #4: Always On line - Halkohol - 11-10-2024 Written Option 2: Niclas Sundqvist is a notorious chirper. But he has a special tactic to it. It's all about getting into the opponent's heads without letting them into your own. Social media can be incredibly toxic so the stance is simple. When there is space for a quip there will be one! But this balance has to be very fine. If you say too much you know there will be a lot of agitation. The fine balance is Sundqvists speciality, exactly like how he is on the ice with hits. And most important regarding social media. You do not want to read posts about you. One quickly turns into two, and so on. Amassing such negativity within yourself is bound to be a catastrophe! So while Sundqvist likes being a drama queen on social media, it is mainly something he avoids as he is well aware of how bad effects posts with negative energy can have on oneself. [156 words] RE: S79 PT #4: Always On line - Leoben - 11-10-2024 Written Option 2 Initially Clarence was really into what was being written or said about him, where people rated him coming out of the draft, how he was performing, and all of that. But he honestly stopped paying attention to that noise somewhere in the middle of his second season. It wasn't helping him to read about how he lined up with the rest of his class or how he compared with people. The only thing he could control is how he prepared and reacted on the ice so that's what he started to focus on. It's very easy to get caught up online and ready about all the negative or even positive things people say about you. It becomes very easy to buy into your own nonsense and think you really are something special. He found it best to just focus on his team and help them as much as possible. and the results have kind of spoken for themself since then. RE: S79 PT #4: Always On line - ShadowFenix - 11-10-2024 Option 1 Shadow Fenix played on a line with two studs, Squidwardo Tentacles, and Will Tomlander. They've played together for a few seasons with some minor swaps for short stints here and there. The chemistry is always a work in progress, but this season, they seemed to take the next step needed for a top line in the SHL. Of course, like all Argonauts, they spend time outside the rink sailing the seas looking for adventures. When a sea monster that needs to be vanquished, or a big wave comes around, it helps the entire Argonaut roster build chemistry because just like hockey, vanquishing sea monsters is a team activity. Without everyone on the ship contributing, the Argonauts would surely face a quick watery demise. Thankfully, the coaches have put systems in place to allow everyone to do the job they need to do to defeat the beasts, and then outside of hockey, they also are good at beating sea monsters. RE: S79 PT #4: Always On line - MrPresident - 11-10-2024 Option 2 Kristian Seppanen, the star Finnish right defenceman, otherwise abbreviated to RD, and assistant captain who plays for the Atlanta Inferno hockey team of the eastern conference of the Simulation Hockey League, otherwise abbreviated to the SHL, doesn’t pay much attention to what is said about him on social media. In fact, Kristian Seppanen doesn’t even really understand the existence of social media or its purpose. He just likes to play hockey, block shots, and give back to his community in Atlanta. In fact, when Kristian Seppanen first heard of social media, he thought people were asking him to be more social in the media, so he started asking reporters out for beers, often referred to as brewskis, asking how their day were, and overall being a standup guy because that’s what he thought people were asking of him. Kristian Seppanen has no idea if what is being written about him is positive or negative, and quite frankly, he doesn’t care. RE: S79 PT #4: Always On line - Australiankek - 11-10-2024 Well another day, another 150 word paragraph to finish, anyways...Kevin Kim of the Minnesota Monarchs, a crucial center for this team had never really cared about what the media had to say about him. whether its positive or negative, there isn't much emotion connected to the posts to get attached anyways. He always says how regular posters in media such as twitter (X) or any other platform are a bunch of geeks that critic a guy that they don't even know. Although positive comments about Kevin are always welcomed, social media will always be social media. Unless its his teammates, family, friends, or coach commenting on his form or appreciating his game, Kevin won't even consider others opinions. Though harsh, players should never have to worry about rude and irresponsible comments, the only thing they should be worrying about is their own game, social media is just there for your enjoyment, not to be mentally dragging. RE: S79 PT #4: Always On line - lemonoppy - 11-10-2024 Option 2 3WW Wingmate Roc is a chronically online bird. When he's on the bench or on the bus to a game, he's on his bird phone looking at his bird tweets, which are also just called tweets. Twitter is actually his platform of choice because it just makes sense and he's got loads of multi and alts and bots that he uses, and pretty openly as well. Wingmate Roc will not suffer any slander, real or imagined from anyone. HE is the ultimate reply guy and will use his horde of zombie accounts to make sure the narrative goes his way. If you slander Wingmate Roc or say something inane like Base Pack is not good, then you're going to be signed up for a ton of email lists, going to have your DMs filled with garbage, and your entire social media history will be dredged up for anything with any hit of questionable. RE: S79 PT #4: Always On line - OVOXO - 11-10-2024 Graphic Option 2 https://imgur.com/a/BqYXdlo RE: S79 PT #4: Always On line - gaby - 11-10-2024 Option 2 Henri Losanov consider himself lucky to not have been drafted in a crazy hockey market. Seattle is still a beautiful city but football is the number one sport by far, he can easily walk in the streets without being recognized. This is still a market with journalists and fans who know how things work. They know the Argos are currently in a rebuild so the current expectations are low. You won't see hot takes like trade half the team or going after a players wife on IG after a loss. As the starting goalie, Henri still talk quite a bit to the press. They know his english isn't really good so it stays short and sweet and Henri love it. The word around him right now is can he be the guy when the team is ready to compete. He won't deny that he doesn't hear these things about him, but it's part of the job and motivation to prove them he can be. RE: S79 PT #4: Always On line - Valpix - 11-10-2024 Social media is a complete toxic cesspool and Dejana Kaptina does her best to stay the fuck away from all that nonsense. She only really uses Instagram, mostly to showcase her off-ice life, rarely ever really talking about hockey aside from the occasional offseason workout picture. Her account is also locked so as to mostly be her friends from back home as well as her teammates in QCC and future teammates in Buffalo. She also doesn't really namesearch to see what people are saying about her, because the only people whose opinion matters to her are her teammates, coaches, and friends. Tune out the negativity and all that. If she wants to socialize she will just go out with some friends somewhere a bit more quaint and quiet, matching her more introverted nature (she spends a lot of time at local libraries, for instance; she's a bit of a bookworm) RE: S79 PT #4: Always On line - JaytheGreat - 11-10-2024 Outside of my first two seasons I've played my entire career with Philip Fry as my partner on the blueline. As you might have guessed we have become pretty close friends on and off the ice. On the ice it's almost like we can read each other's minds, know when to pinch vs going back and where each is on the ice. It's formed a pretty a solid defensive pairing over the last five seasons. We do drills together during practice and our lockers are next to each other in the locker room. Our friendship started out as a mentorship as when I came into the league I looked up to Fry, he was an All Star and one of the best two way defensemen in the league, someone I definitely try to play like. It's not only an on-ice thing though, but we also usually hang out on our off days and our families have vacationed with each other in the offseason. RE: S79 PT #4: Always On line - Reno - 11-10-2024 Option 2 Willow has a very complicated relationship with social media as a whole. Willow does maintain a presence on stuff like Bluesky and Instagram but it's not always super active and when she posts it's usually something corporate or similar. Willow does like to read the hot takes people have when she has a bad game or similar but she doesn't take it to heart at least, after all then people usually insulting her are the ones who claim they could do her job despite having zero training. Every now and again if someone says something incredibly deplorable she will step in and respond in some way to roast them and point out the stupidity of their argument. The most famous example of this came from when Willow received multiple DMs from someone calling her a variety of awful words and she responded by sending them to the persons significant other who in turn broke up with them. RE: S79 PT #4: Always On line - oknom - 11-10-2024 Well there is certainly some chemistry within the defensive core in Tampa Bay. Zedward ZIlliams and Dunkler were both on the championship S74 Detroit Falcons, and played together there for 3 seasons. They were even partners on the top line for S73. Two other Falcons also feature in the forward group of the Barracuda, The Murray and Brayden Point. So there’s plenty of familiarity and friendship within this group. Outside of Falcon teammates, Dunkler has only ever played for the Barracuda. Dunkler had two different defense partners for his first three seasons, and now is playing with Zilliams. During these first four seasons, Dunkler has started to grow some chemistry with fellow 3rd line forward and penalty killer Dag-Otto Bjorntjanst. The “postman”, as the team has come to call him, has a tendency of going on some unexpected hot streaks. This is quite the accomplishment considering Dag-Otto typically pulls defensive assignments and penalty kill duty. Dunkler is always happy to support a teammate, especially ones the opponent under-estimates. RE: S79 PT #4: Always On line - Vandy - 11-10-2024 I think you would be lying or at least doing a huge disservice to yourself if you said you weren't following or at least looking at what people say about you online. Like my player's dad, Vanderberg Sr.. He wasn't a star but went out there and did his job night after night and as a result there wasn't much said about him other than when he would pop up in trade rumors. My player, his son, is a Jesster winner and is shaping up to be a cornerstone of the Stampede defense so of course there's more said about him and his ceiling, his stats, etc. I like to be as close to the fans as I can be whether that's interacting on social media or giving out autographs so of course I am surprising some fans with mentions on instagram or on X. He doesn't start the conversation but can sometimes be found jumping in to make a fan's day with a reply or an @. RE: S79 PT #4: Always On line - hockeyiscool - 11-10-2024 After Shawn Pawn went through a period of his youth much like kyler murray filled with electronic addictions and unchecked internet usage, from a health perspective Shawn Pawn was afforded this luxury as a way to just calm down and "veg out" between and after the two a day workouts and sometimes three a days. However as Shawn Pawn made the ascension through the league and his baseline talent was realized and achieved, those multiday workouts became fewer and it more so became about maintaining your shape and condition. When this transition occurred Shawn Pawn was fortunate that they heard very early on in his life from a physicians, that all cause mortality in elderly statistics are the lowest in the united states in the amish community at the same time his eye doctor let him know the dangers for the eye that were emerging due to the change in screen technology and the type of light "blue light" that was being pushed leading to increased early life macular degeneration. When he heard this out Shawn Pawn decided to take a step back from electronic entertainment and social media all together. Interestingly enough, for Shawn Pawn one of the things that he has noticed is his sleep is far more regular and consistent despite the constant travel with the team. Additionally, he has become far more accurate with his shot and calm under pressure due to a lessened stress on his sympathetic nervous system as well as having more intense and controlled adrenal bursts when required in a game. |
