RE: S57 PT #1 - Attributes Off The Ice - Jayrome - 12-04-2020 Huff worked hard this offseason and got three key attributes to 13. Balance, Strength and Stamina. Yes of course it is to have a more physical presence on the ice, but it is also to conquer the Mechanical Bull title in one of Kelowna's local bar. Last season saw Huff get humiliated on the device due to lack of strength, and Brennan swore he'd be back with a vengeance. You may also notice Brennan Huff upgraded his Bravery trait to 9, to face the challenge without second thoughts. Last year, he failed to stay still on the bull more than 30 seconds, facing the laughs and mocking of his teammates Feltersnatch, McFelter and Malik. But this year is different, Brennan saw the opportunity to train his physical attributes and subtly secure a stunning performance of the mechanical bull. Now of course, the other members of the Quadruplets also focused their training on their strength and balance. It is unknown for which purpose they have trained this way, but this only makes the competition for the Mechanical Bull title more fierce. So if you're in Kelowna, keep an eye out for a local bar with a mechanical bull, the Quadruplets go from teammates to foes once every season to determine the strongest of the group. RE: S57 PT #1 - Attributes Off The Ice - Leoben - 12-04-2020 Kubinec has been planning his exit strategy from the sport for a while now and has taken up darts. From brightly lit arenas to dimly lit bars, Kubinec’s Shooting Accuracy will be the last thing to go. He’s not quite sure what the rules of darts are so he just aims as close to the middle as possible. His accuracy is not perfect but it is reliable and he usually makes about ten percent of his shots. He hits the bullseye about the same about off the ice. He has been touring the local circuit in Texas but plans to go on the touring circuit after the Season 57 season. If things go well, he may hang up the skates and get his own customized darts. He has made quite a bit of money so far and while it is not enough to retire, darts are usually less painful than playing hockey. Hopefully his new career path works out for him. RE: S57 PT #1 - Attributes Off The Ice - Thor - 12-04-2020 Isfl Welfare (username: Thor) RE: S57 PT #1 - Attributes Off The Ice - Zoone16 - 12-04-2020 As a very busy person off the ice, Luca Del Vecchio would need to up both his Stamina and Mental Toughness to go through a work day without collapsing. This is because other than just training and preparing for the next season, Luca has been working on his own brand of high-quality Italian products and marketing them takes a lot of time and patience. It also takes a lot of working with the health authorities that need to inspect every aspect of the merchandise to ensure it meets US standards. Additionally, his upcoming partnership with some of the major fashion brands has been beneficial but also extremely tiring. There are only so many suits one can wear in a day before we get tired of the whole dress-up routine. Overall, if someone were to follow in Luca’s footsteps, they would need a Stamina rating of 18 and a Mental Toughness of 17. Not unattainable but definitely something someone would have to work towards. Passing is the most important attribute I feel in a person off - ice bag. I am all about saucing apples to my teammates and anyone else in my life. I spent a lot of time this offseason to work on my IQ and vision which in term helps with passing, these secondary stats are another big attribute that matters in the real world. Having a good IQ and vision can help you in many aspects of life and potentially save you from a really dangerous situation. Overlla, being a hockey player has many benefits and not only the fact that we get to do what we love, for millions of dollars. I am not going to say that money isn't nice but I think it's the other things that I appreciate the most about being a hockey player. RE: S57 PT #1 - Attributes Off The Ice - Blues - 12-04-2020 So there are two attributes that effect Rocco's abilities in the real world and they kind of offset each other, which is nice. Rocco has a pretty high checking ability, so he's able to keep tabs on and research info about other people. This has allowed him to keep a circle of friends and acquaintances that are pretty solid and have similar interests to our young SHLer. However, he has a low screening ability which means that once he meets the potential friends, some red flags are usually missed. Were he to up his screening ability to be on par with his checking ability, he may avoid some awkward future positions. A few times, this lack of screening has resulted in situations that have made Rocco uncomfortable, so he would benefit from pumping some TPE into that area. Expect his checking ability to increase as well, both on and off the ice, as he becomes an SHL staple. RE: S57 PT #1 - Attributes Off The Ice - Zombiewolf - 12-04-2020 This is a tough choice for my player Jaska Seppala. If I had to choose which attribute would be best for Jaska Seppala I would have to pick the attribute called Balance. I would choose the attribute balance because I think it would be pretty helpful to not be clumsy off the ice. If I am more balanced I would not trip over my feet which would help me in a number of situations like if I got into altercation I could bob and weave and stay on my feet giving me a competitive advantage. Also, if I was more balanced it would help me not fall off my bike which I do not like doing very much. The attribute balance can also help me in other situations. It would help me when I am drunk, while drunk your sense of balance is not very good and so this attribute would help me not look like an idiot since it would reduce my chances of drunkenly falling over. RE: S57 PT #1 - Attributes Off The Ice - Fantobens - 12-04-2020 This is so easy I may not get to one hundred and fifty words on the first try. The best of the FHM attributes to have in everyday life would be recovery. Bump that recovery up to twenty and just YOLO. Say you were to get into it with someone at the bar. They put their twenty in fighting. Punch punch punch. Recover recover recover. Simple math. Your wife leaves you takes the kids and moves in with your bisexual next door neighbor police officer? It’s cool. I’ll recover. Bam. Works every time. Burned myself cooking. Bam. Recover. Lost my job. Bam. Recover. Got too drunk tripped over the dog and fell through a plate glass window. Bam. Recover. I can’t think of anything better than being able to instantly recover from physical and mental trauma. Stamina would be good too. Recovery is better. It’s the same but better. This is so stupid. I’m sorry. Bam. Recover. RE: S57 PT #1 - Attributes Off The Ice - Julio Tokolosh - 12-04-2020 Julio has a lot of bad habits, and his SHL abilities reinforce most of them. After years of a loveless relationship, Julio's lady friend [i couldn't think of a cow themed name pun. Milkdred?] announced that she is moving out, and taking the dog with her. Julio doesn't like the dog, but can't stand to see her perceive this as "winning the break-up" so he gaslights (screening) her into believing that the dog was his and that she isn't stable enough for a pet right now. Where would she even go? No one likes her. After she's left, Julio goes to take the edge off (agility) by having a few drinks at the bar he knows she hates. After having some beers and a few rounds of shots (low shots) Julio was ready to leave. Some guy said something that kind of sounded like an insult, but Julio couldn't really hear it. It wasn't worth the hassle though, especially because Julio wasn't in the mood to kick the guys ass (aggression). Frustrated at the world and himself, Julio got behind the wheel and headed back to his Edmonton loft, Julio was getting tired and wanted to get home fast (speed). It wasn't long after until a police car pulled up behind Tokolosh. Staying poised and operating with tact would be crucial (defensive read). The officer had Julio walk the line (balance) and a few other tasks before putting the cow in handcuffs and into the backseat of his cruiser (positioning). This was cited during the custody case for the dog, a month later, which Julio lost. He now lives alone, and just wants things to go back to normal (mental toughness). He's ready for the regualr season to start soon. RE: S57 PT #1 - Attributes Off The Ice - Fluw - 12-04-2020 Passing would definitely help Gudmundur Kristjansson with his family holidays, and I will tell you why. Picture this, it is thanksgiving or really any big holiday where your family comes over whether you like them or not , they are family. You overbearing aunt comes in for a hug, oh shit what? Did you just pass up on that? Well clearly she didn't see that one coming as you shove your younger sibling in the way passing them right into your aunts arms. But wait you passed up on the chance to get those smooches, and your weird uncle comes up to you and is about to tell you a long a boring story that you have hear for the 1400th time, and you really don't want to listen to it again. Well with the passing attribute you can easily just pass it on to the next person in the room with some quick word play! Okay so the introductions are over, and you are now sitting on the other end of the table. Your dad calls to you, " Son ? Can you pass the salt ? Oh shit, this is practically impossible! Everyone just pretends they didn't hear the question , NO one wants to help you out because of all the passing you were doing all day! But wait, you are a passing God! You slide that salt on the table as it oh so gently slips by and caresses the turkey, while avoiding your mothers glass of wine, and hits your sisters hand causing it to saucer just over the gravy, and gently flutters into your fathers hand. You look up and a single tear falls from his right eye. That's some generational passing son. This is exactly what happened to Gummi at the last family dinner, all thanks to his great passing. RE: S57 PT #1 - Attributes Off The Ice - Thunfish - 12-04-2020 "They want to know if there's any attribute out there that would benefit you in your life off the ice. Omelette asked to her husband after reading it. Yoshi rose his head from the oven, pondering. "Speed would be good I think." "I mean..." The ninja did four backflips before landing near her. "Tricks are nice and all but you gotta be quick in my usual line of work." "Hm? I thought you were fast enough..." He chuckled, kissing her cheek. "A ninja can never truly be fast enough." In an instant, he snapped a mosquito from the air with his fingers. "See? Five seconds, not enough speed. Good ninjas can do it in one and there wouldn't even be a body... Or whatever you call these damned things." RE: S57 PT #1 - Attributes Off The Ice - Serpe x 13 - 12-04-2020 I think that there a few important attributes that my player uses in his off ice time. The first one would be the ability to win face-offs. Having the ability to think quickly on how to counter some one and win a quick decision is very important and happens on a day to day basis. With that in mind it is a double edge sword; the ability to quickly react to some thing means that the reaction may be not be the best one to do and it may cause for the situation to be lost. Another interesting attribute that would be used often on off ice situation would be stamina. It is important to have enough stamina during the day to be able to complete the numerous amounts of tasks that are asked of Victor Fedorov and he needs all of the energy he can have to perform these tasks at a top level of performance. RE: S57 PT #1 - Attributes Off The Ice - Trautner - 12-04-2020 While michael scarn is no burner on the ice, he certainly is a speedster off the ice. in fact michael scarn is one of the fastest runners in the greater pennsylvania metropolitan area as well as the atlantic coast. michael scarn famously ran a record breaking first mile in the Michael Scarn Dunder Mifflin Scranton Meredith Palmer Memorial Celebrity Rabies Awareness Pro-Am Fun Run Race for the Cure 5K where he passed by his competitors with ease before finishing in last. so maybe stamina would also be a good attribute for michael scarn to invest in, so that he can maintain his blazing high speed when running in these races. michael scarn is known for his quick customer service on and off the ice, delivering assists and paper at the quickest speed, so speed is definitely a good attribute to have in hand for any off the ice activities and paper business. RE: S57 PT #1 - Attributes Off The Ice - honkerrs - 12-04-2020 I feel like easily the most sought after FHM stat to use in everyday life would be strength. Being just a strong person in every day life makes so many tasks just extremely simple and my life at home would be a lot more easier. Having trouble opening that pickle jar or container of muscle milk? Boom, hit them with the 20 in strength to get that opened easily. Being able to obtain dad strength level before even being a father would be extremely nice every day. Additionally, with this amazing off the ice strength I'd have I could take my talents elsewhere after finishing up my career in the SHL. Professional WWE wrestler? Olympic heavy weightlifter? Bodybuilder? Personal Trainer? The sky is the limit when you can have strength without any work. That's why I think strength is not only a great decision off the ice currently for Scoochie but also to have a future outside of the SHL afterwards RE: S57 PT #1 - Attributes Off The Ice - Rangerjase - 12-04-2020 For Zoltan, I think that the goalie stat of “reflexes” would really help in his every day life. Even with the large contract from the Tampa bay Barracuda, Zoltan is still very busy raising even more money for the cult of Zoltan. Not only is he constantly berated by other people (due to his peddling and attempt to peddle for funds) but most people throw punches. The bubble wrap does help to absorb these. With better reflexes, Zoltan would not be hit quite as often. This would also help Zoltan to catch some of the random change that is constantly thrown at him. Its like a circus act, people throw change, Zoltan catches. More money for his lord and savior! Right now, Zoltan has very low reflex stat. The other peddlers laugh at him. Quarters and pennies drop on the floor, he can’t catch. Lucky he has hockey to get him through the weekdays. |
