I just wanna thank @JKortesi81 for bringing me onto NOLA. Taking a chance on me after I had immature moments in my own run through SHL.
I’d like to thank @Evok @Faelax @CampinKiller @Chevy
and @notorioustig for previously grabbing me and welcoming me with open arms.
@SouthPaw thank you for bringing me into Maine.
Over the course of the last 2 years or so I’ve been in some deep thought. Some tough struggles as well. Dealt with some death within friendships and within the family. It brought me closer to my family, but it also made me appreciate everyone in the SHL in here welcoming me and others with open arms. It has not been an easy time as we are now dealing with issues with my younger sister who is only 18. I’m dealing with those struggles now she’s had some seizures and a stroke. So I want to tell you all no matter who if you ever need anything. Someone to talk to I’m always open to listen because that’s something I know I needed and I never got. I do absolutely care.
Last thing I wanna say thank you to @Rangerjase @sköldpaddor and @WannabeFinn for the work they put in for the improvement in the league and as far as it has come.
To those I didn’t talk about, thank you for being here. Thank you for contributing in a positive manner to this great and safe community.

@Copenhagen is a pretty awesome guy.. he made a custom box of hockey cards full of really cool Kings autograph cards, rookie cards including a graded Quinton Byfield card, older cards, etc.. he even made a custom box with a picture of Jonathan Quick & labeled as Copenhagen Platinum. Made my day ripping it open!

These are always really difficult, because I have a terrible memory and would absolutely miss out certain people if I tried to name names. This is my second time round the block and I still treasure my time with Seattle with my first player, as I do with Regina (rip) in the juniors this time around. Baltimore has been awesome, Trips is obviously a legend and I’m excited to see what Wally and HF do with this team. The prospect pool is looking sick, everyone around the team should be incredibly excited!

In my year and a half in this league, I’ve had the chance to meet some amazing people.
To me, this sim league is 100% more about the community than the sim, the cups, whatever!
@DarthDaevin has been a fantastic addition to the COL locker room. Friendly, funny, and curious, we couldn’t have asked for more from a first-gen dipping his toes into sim leagues for the first time. Most importantly, though, a great teammate!
We traded for @Tripl3tsGamer ’s player a couple of seasons ago—not primarily for the TPE, but for what he, the USER, would bring to the locker room. Even as a rental who only played one season with us, Trip remains an active part of our daily chats and our Dino Town community. He shares his newest songs with us, sometimes even before they’re officially released, and we’re lucky for it.
@Troy_McClure03 tagged me in this very thread, and I really appreciate it. A great user all around, a Dino alum who’s recently stepped into GM territory. It was refreshing to do trade negotiations together this season; it made me realize how much we miss you in COL. I appreciate you and hope to interact more in the future!
@Popol has been an S-tier buddy in SHL this year. Great guy to talk to about all kinds of topics, he even introduced me to some of his IRL friends! Such a gem of a user. Thanks for sticking around; I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next.
@Jumbo has been a staple in Colorado. Once a GM, he’s one of the most active members in our Discord channel since its creation (almost 18k msgs according to our bot). Not a small feat! That said, I feel like I’ve only really started chatting with him since we brought him back as a recreate. Great user, great person, and super helpful with the team. Always ready to chime in on any subject. COL is lucky to have him.
My interactions with @aleks have been some of the most entertaining I’ve had in the league so far. You never really know what he’s going to say next, and that’s awesome! Thanks for sticking around and for the DM convos!
@Figgy is actually the one who introduced me to the league in the first place. Almost two years later, we still enjoy catching up and checking in on our respective locker rooms. I love interacting with this user and working on special (secret) projects together. Who knows? Maybe one day!
@NaomiMannequeen has been a blast to work with! A great partner in crime back in the SRT, I’m excited to see what we’ll accomplish together. LFG!
And last but not least, @ThisSeemsFishy !
I knew Fishy from HN and interacted with them there before jumping over to the SHL. From there, we both got drafted by COL, played on the same line, won the cup, and finally reunited in MTL. All that without even mentioning our duo as COL GMs! Interacting with you daily is a big part of why I’m still around in this league. Such a great SHL buddy!
I’m 1000% sure I forgot some people, and I apologize! You know I appreciate you. You know who you are.

What is the SHL if not a place to come and win together with friends?
Making friends during your draft class, making friends with your new team mates, making friends with your big club team mates, making friends with your equals both at the HO and Gaming level.
These are just some of the places I’ve made friends over the course of my time on this site. I cannot thank everyone enough.
It means a lot to me knowing I have a place where I can drop in and connect with people both with similar passions, and similar living situations.

The Broadcast team wouldn't be where it is today without you, and I can't wait to see where it goes!

I'll admit, I didn't originally read the prompt when I used my simmer pass, so I kinda ignored the thread. So, I'm coming back now to do it for free.
Firstly, I want to thank @Seany148 and @Shiamus for taking a chance on me 2 seasons ago, a silly goalie in the 3rd round. I also want to thank @noxu and @LGRW613 for putting up with all my yapping in the Van LR and other places.
I also want to thank @Baron1898, @DeThePyro, @MrPrime, @Mrkarma94 for all being incredible rookies last season, hopefully we can get a cup for ya in the next 2 seasons.
@sliceruser @Nike for being awesome GMs in chicago, who I'm very excited to play for soon!

I want to really thank both @ThePyroAlpaca and @Froste39 for being great GMs in Kelowna, it has been a blast these past couple of seasons. I want to thank you two for taking a chance on, if I am being honest a rather underwhelming prospect of a player. It has been real fun being the wizard of Kelowna and you two make Kelowna a great team to be on.

s/o to the ham locker room, it is an unhinged and schizo expierence that only the brave can survive, but if you do you will come out a better person and aleks knows how to right the ship as does gwdj
