Talking shit isn't predicated on making the playoffs. Talking shit is just fun when you see a large number of overconfident hacks talking about the cup before they even make it out of the first round.
Given, I've never won the cup in my time in the SHL and it sucks, but my previous player was on a team that won more rounds in S39 than Buffalo has in their existence.
