It didn't really look like Manhattan was going to make playoffs this season, even after a decent start. I certainly didn't expect us to take the series as far as we did. Seems like a good omen for the future!

I did not expect to see so many goals scored by Tampa’s two offensive minded dmen. Zilliams and Thunderdome scored the majority of the team’s ppg’s this season

James's entire performance this season has been pretty surprising. I know the TPE jump from SMJHL max to even rookie numbers in the SHL proper is huge, but I didn't expect him to perform so well compared to the others in the league. He got actual goals during the playoffs, more than assists he got goals.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well the Newfoundland Berserkers did this season. The prior two seasons they finished 12th in the league, and then this season, with a couple of acquisitions in the offseason, rocketed up the standings to finish the Regular Season tied for 1st in Points.

I expected Thunder Bay to be in the bottom 5 of the SMJHL and yet we finished 10th which I really didnt expect but I am happy about where we did finish.

I didn't expect to have to play against the Kelowna Knights in the postseason in my final playoff appearance in the SMJHL. It was bittersweet to play my former team.

I guess the whole "team does pretty well and my guy plays even better" was not exactly something I saw on the cards before the season. I expected progressive growth, not exponential growth. But hey, I'll take it.

Honestly I didn't expect so many of the Highlanders to break out but a lot of us had career seasons, hoping we can build on that next season.We really went on a run late in the season.

I've expected Edmonton to make it into the playoffs. With the way they have been rebuilding it's only a matter of time before that happens. They are looking strong after all, and a strong EDM-CGY rivalry is much needed for the SHL.

I expected to have a complete roster for the entire season in Carolina. Unfortunately, and for no reason, that turned out to not be the case. Weird.

I did not expect Cal Juice to be the team leader in points, especially while playing on the 2nd line. I also expected us to at least be middling team and somehow we were 2nd to last in the league. Sad and frustrating.
