I don't think the wolves would choose to not kill someone, it's always better for them to eat someone, so whoever escort is, they know who the alpha is now. That being said, we should be careful here and not have them reveal themselves publicly. Ideally we confirm another villagers role then we can do some magic with PMs. What I'm thinking is we get one confirmed villager, then all the village PMs them, they can anonymously release information and no one will know where it came from.
So what your saying is we need a vanilla villager to step forward and everyone would pm them with info such as the escort telling them who the alpha is? Then with everyone messaging durden would post a bunch of whispers and the wolves wouldn't be able to discern who the escort is? Am I correct in this?

So really 3 possibilities...
1. We have some veteran players as wolves who wanted to be super sneaky deaky on night one.
2. We have shitty warewolves who just didn't submit someone to eat.
3. The escort blocked them.

Possibly. But I wouldn’t just deluge information like that to someone we aren’t 100% sure is a vanilla. Could be someone lying about their role.
