I think the SHL does a pretty good job of including the community in votes, and I don't think any additional votes besides general feedback are needed.

Not sure if someone's brought this up already, but I'd love individual awards for each team. That way, teams can vote for the players that they think contributed the most to team spirit or camaraderie. It awards great people and teammates!

I have a pass, but before I had one it was two tasks I think? If it was not, it doesn't matter because I would now prefer that it is separate.

I really enjoy the idea of the most gentlemanly player vote. Obviously hard to execute in a league where we really don't actually play each other, and rather just watch stat lines, but it's an award that I like the hopeful impact of in making people maybe try and cave each others skulls in just a little bit less frequently.

I think voting on the MVP is a great award to vote for as a league. As for anything else, I don't think it should be an open vote. Having spent some time on the SMJHL Awards team, I know a lot goes into the whole process, and voting is and should be taken seriously. Not to say people wouldn't be fair, I just feel the committee approach is the best.

As much as I am a known questioner of things the league could change that make very little change, realistically we are not seeing a decline or a waning interest in doing two different tasks, and with the new system I don't see the need to push things further.

I’ve been enjoying having it broken up into two. Particularly with the word count being free flowing between all of the possible options.
Granted, things have been hella busy on the farm. So any way to make things easier is best.

I'm of the opinion that it's really not necessary to allow everyone to vote on more things. I think awards for example would just boil down to whoever is most popular or simply has the most points. Smaller groups of people dedicated to those things can put more effort in with more information to look at as well.

I don't like the idea of the userbase voting for more awards. While there would be some users who take it seriously, a majority of the users will just vote whoever their GM wants or their friends.

I don't think it'd be ideal to make the masses voting a thing. Many people aren't likely to be comparing stats and relative performances at the moment of making a decision. And since we are also heavily encouraged in participating in tasks, especially TP-related, we're bound to come across lots of copied votes from people following after their team's recommendation. That'd schew the chances of a lot of people in ways that feel too difficult to handle and measure while being too weighty regarding the final results.
