RE: S81 PT #0: It’s All About The Hockey - Hetaksh - 02-16-2025 After a deep evaluation into hetakshs on ice performance by his coaches, it was found that he lacked grit and the ability to take players out of the game with a hit. Despite having plenty of hits in the last season, hetaksh only had few take-aways. Consequently, hetaksh made up his mind to change that, after all, he cant be the weak link to his team. So he flew all the way to the north pole and his currently on a strict training schedule. To elaborate, all he pretty much does is pick fights with the polar bears and goes one on one with them. After all, if he can take a polar bear out, he can definitely take you out of the game and steal the puck away, anyways thats all hetaksh is doing to prepare for the next season. RE: S81 PT #0: It’s All About The Hockey - Gage2 - 02-17-2025 The offseason is the one opportunity you get to play hockey with the boys from your time in the J. Usually we all just get together and play some good only pond hockey actually. Yeah it’s not formal but it’s good exercise and it’s a good time. Sometimes for these pond games we get some teammates from our SHL teams or from national play in to fill in if others can’t. We’ve actually had an entire pond hockey tournaments in order to get a bunch of people involved so we can get whipped into shape. We’ve held it in a few places but we’ve been playing on Lake Ontario for the past few seasons. We’re looking to play possibly in Michigan next season or Wisconsin. Some people said they wanted to go to the states since it would be a bit easier to get in on these pond games for the offseason RE: S81 PT #0: It’s All About The Hockey - Stamkos Is My Dad - 02-17-2025 Option 1. The off season is long and arduous but this is nothing new to the young stallion Zeus Storm. Coming off a career year in the SMJHL, Zeus Storm got the call up to the Chicago Syndicate, and has put in immense work this off season preparing to play with the big fellas. Normally Zeus trains on his own but this off season he decided to train with multiple of his new Chicago teammates and not only train physically but mentally as well. He spent a lot of time working on his physical abilities, his on ice skills, but most importantly the mental aspect of the game. He picked the brains of his Chicago teammates to figure out what to expect and how to succeed as a rookie in this league. This is a massive season and Zeus wants to win the best rookie award and start the process of getting Chicago to the top. It's go time. RE: S81 PT #0: It’s All About The Hockey - Lumosityfan - 02-17-2025 Hughes Incorporated has a huge offseason ahead of him. He’s responsible for getting these new batch of rookies up to speed on the SMJHL and get them ready for game action. Thus, he brings all the rookies to his workout area in South Padre Island and they get to work preparing themselves for the various plays at their disposal. They find a rink somehow because reasons and they have scrimmages and drills to keep up in shape. They work on teamwork and camaraderie to bring everyone closer together as the season approaches. They work fairly hard but not enough to break the bank because it would really suck if somehow an injury happened that derailed the whole thing. Afterwards, we take a break to recover and get our muscles ready for the season ahead. We know it’s a long road ahead so we don’t want to rush into things too quickly. We do one last burst of exercises and drills in the last week before the season starts to make sure we’re not too rusty and then we’re ready to go for the season ahead. RE: S81 PT #0: It’s All About The Hockey - Lime - 02-17-2025 PT Pass RE: S81 PT #0: It’s All About The Hockey - eddiesnothere - 02-17-2025 Option 2: Ryan spends a large portion of the offseason catching up with his family, his friends in the Naval Academy, and his girlfriend Cathy, often busy pursuing medicine. Keeping him honest during his off-days, his Baltimore police officer father and nurse mother ensure he’s well-fed and active on the off-days, which includes plenty of fishing on the inlets around New England. He always makes time for his friends and associates at the United States Naval Academy, where he blossomed as a high-level collegiate goaltender. He runs occasional goaltending camps there, and pursues various courses to continue his education when he can, still active in the physical training regimen he has become used to during his Seals training. He still keeps up with goings-on in Thunder Bay and the SMJHL, alongside his SHL team in Minnesota, but he likes to keep the sporting life at arms-length, preferring to live a life of activity in all regards. 154 Words RE: S81 PT #0: It’s All About The Hockey - Ferwx - 02-17-2025 Task 1: Jean Bon knows he has to work harder every single day if he wants to be the defenseman with the most blocked shots in the entire SMJHL. The off-season is the perfect time to do so. It doesnt matter for him if it means throwing himself on the ice for 3 whole hours without any breaks or even trying his best to block every shot he sees. He's willing to do all of that. His coach reached out to him multiple times during the summer because he would not stop training every day, but Jean isn't the kind to listen to those advices. He only has 1 dream, and he's willing to do anything to make it happen someday. Some might say he's crazy, but if you're asking him, he feels somewhat guilty he cant train more. His days looks exactly the same; wake up, skating sessions, blocking shots, eat, blocking shots once again and finally, go to sleep. While almost everyone can't imagine doing this on a regular basis, Bon says it's his 《 drug 》. He simply cant imagine himself living one day without playing hockey. 192 words RE: S81 PT #0: It’s All About The Hockey - DigDoug11 - 02-17-2025 Prompt 1 163 words Off season seems to last forever! And what typically gets done In the offseason? Training! Fortunately for Trevor Lahey, he has his own private ring at his house! Now that lahey is at the peak of his career (some would say he’s on a decline) he doesn’t really feel the need to have a massive training session everyday of the offseason. For the most part he uses this time to just stay active. He runs his drills alone just to keep it fresh on his memory. Now there has been a couple of occasional a few of his teammates will come out to practice with lahey, but that doesn’t happen often due to Trevor living out in the sticks, but that’s how he likes it, secluded from everything. But the biggest thing he works on is his shooting, he wants to score as much as possible, so he is mostly working his slap shot doing the off season, he just can’t help to! RE: S81 PT #0: It’s All About The Hockey - Mrkarma94 - 02-17-2025 Lancer spent his offseason training for the sun run and keeping his cardio in check. He also have adopted a rescue pup from the local shelter a black husky cross that he names omen because in the dark you cannot tell she is there and she's a very tricky dog, they have been on many adventures hiking and visiting areas of Vancouver he didn't have a chance to see for during the season. He also flew his parents out to see him and showed them around town, they will be staying until the Whalers first home game as he made sure he could get them the best seats in the house for the opener. When they arrived he tried the most amazing steakhouse called Gotham's with the extra money he got from doing a photoshoot for EA sports for their French SHL card pack promo for the last patch of the season RE: S81 PT #0: It’s All About The Hockey - Mrkarma94 - 02-17-2025 02-17-2025, 01:16 AMMrkarma94 Wrote: Prompt 2 160 words RE: S81 PT #0: It’s All About The Hockey - SFresh3 - 02-17-2025 Graphic Option 1: ![]() RE: S81 PT #0: It’s All About The Hockey - Whitecap - 02-17-2025 Prompt 1 Emeric Gagner has been working all offseason to be less of a bum than he was last season. He didn't get to play a single minute and was benched the entire time. This year, however, he believes will be different. He spent the past couple of months back in Europe so he can focus on training entirely by himself. He is as locked in as ever, and has gone through some truly gruelling exercises to up his game. For example, he is now taking the stairs every chance he gets! Elevators are a thing of the past. He has also sworn off eating hot dogs, something he was addicted to last season. He really believes in himself now after these important lifestyle changes, and the hope is that he will achieve more than 0 minutes of icetime this season. If he can do that, he might even score a point or two for the Panthers. Only time will tell. RE: S81 PT #0: It’s All About The Hockey - JNH - 02-17-2025 #2 Rasmus has many pets, which is how he ensures that he has ways to spend a lot of his free time outside of hockey, but inevitably it ends up eating up way too much of his time because it turns out that pets are an expensive venture from both a time and money perspective. He has two dogs which he walks multiple times a day, and pays for a dogsitter when the team is out of town. He has a lizard which is quite self sufficient (don't tell me that they aren't, this one is). He also has a rabbit which lives in the spare bedroom of his apartment and basically runs the entire place. It's hard to explain to guests that they have to sleep on the couch because Noodles the bunny is asleep on the guest bed, but there is a hierarchy when it comes to these things and far be it for Rasmus to allow a stranger to jeopardize his bunny's sleep and space. RE: S81 PT #0: It’s All About The Hockey - Vice - 02-17-2025 #1I think during this important transition between two new teams, any time with the new team is going to be extremely high valued. Now that Cadmael is playing for the Texas Renegades, I think during the offseason, Cadmael would probably head straight to the Texas training facility to get to work on the tasks ahead. I don't think that there would be anyone in particular that he would train with on the team, but maybe spending time with the coaching staff to make sure that everything is all up to snuff. I think we'd be taking more of a broader appraoch to the training regimen, as Cadmael is coming off of a pretty abysmal season - so stopping any bad habits before they begin will be key in Texas. Aside from that, just taking time to himself and getting ready for this next upcoming season. A lot of doubters to dispel and so little time to do it in. RE: S81 PT #0: It’s All About The Hockey - aleks - 02-17-2025 ever since the colorado raptors of the simulation major junior hockey league drafted evil jordan humphrey, enlightened centrist has hated being around the colorado raptors locker room and training facility. because of this, enlightened centrist trains alone. in the fijian wilderness. this involves running up and down dirt hills, dragging tires around, and swimming in the ocean. being able to be in isolation in the fijian wilderness allows him to find peace on the inside. this, he hopes, is what will prepare him to play alongside the known locker room cancer evil jordan humphrey of the colorado raptors. if this training is unable to prepare him for the challenges of playing alongside evil jordan humphrey, he may have to be called up early. in th event there is a locker room altercation, the enlightened centrist also spear fishes in the fijian waters. he will use this spear to kill evil jortdan humphrey as well. |
