Who cares who wins the championship. It will be a Great Lakes division team because it always is. The four best teams in the league are all in the Great Lakes division and one of them are not even allowed to play in the playoffs. So as long as it is a Great Lakes team that is all that matters. We are the best.

I think the favourite heading into the Season Fifty Nine Challenge Cup Playoffs is probably an under the radar type team, like the San Francisco Pride. Coming off an elite season, and with valuable experience from pushing Toronto to seven games last season, we could see the Pride surprise and make a deep playoff run!

the cup favorite is hamilton. of course it is. saying it's anyone else is a project in futility. they're the only contending team that made moves to improve at the deadline and should be viewed as the team to beat.

Let's be honest with each other. Is anyone seriously picking a team other than Hamilton? If you would've asked me at the season midpoint I might've said Chicago instead. But here's yet another season with Hamilton winning the President's Trophy. As is tradition.

I will go out on a limb and say one of the teams from the Great Lakes division is the favorite. Narrowing is down is too difficult for me but I think the likely winner is from that division.

Winnipeg is the favorite to win the cup because we are my favorite team and I want us to win a cup. Any other team is second tier on who I want to win the cup.

I think the Atlanta Inferno have a great shot at a cup. They've only lightly gotten killed by Great Lakes teams. They have a good mix of youth and vets. Eko van Otter, Dick Clapper, and Guy Zheng are a line that can go up against just about anybody.

My cup favorite is Buffalo, who I think is close to on par with Hamilton, but has Doyle as a serious difference maker as possibly the best goalie in the league for a best of 7 series.

My favorite to win the cup is the team that wins the most games. So far in the SHL, every team that has won the most games in playoffs have also won the championship.

The way the game works, the best team usually comes out on top, barring us underestimating someone because of the way they were scheduled. Plus, I'm a cynic, so I'm taking Hamilton as the favorites.

The Edmonton Blizzard are going to be in an incredibly strong position to contend for the Challenge Cup this year. They've got so much depth up and down the lineup that they can just keep throwing talented players on the ice and wearing down other teams.

Well considering the sim is pretty difficult to predict, our best bet is looking at the top of the standings and pick our likely winner from there. So after intense analysis of this year's standings, and going back through history to see how things have shaken out I am confident in saying that your winner will once again be the Hamilton Steelhawks.

I think people forget just how close the playoffs actually were last season. BUF was pushed to G7 OT by TOR in the Conf finals and Hamilton was pushed by the Renes as well. Hamilton looks great, but really any of BUF/CHI/TEX/EDM/CGY could make a run as well
