Maybe because said team went from a defense with 2 425s and a bunch of rookies to a defense with 2 425s and 3 350s, a rookie starter to a 350 starter and their already strong offense had 3 players go from 350 to 425 and added a 350 forward as well. So yes it certainly is a take to say that they didn't improve much and still have a bunch of holes while praising and ranking 2-3 worse teams on paper ahead of them.
