I think this is a pretty shrewd move by the Hydra's actually. They needed to move into the top 10 to get a good player this draft, though 7th won't get them the cream of the crop. VR just showed he wasn't the most active in Hartford and the Hydras want to attempt to get a fully active player. Who they get in the draft will decide how successful this trade was.

Poor Hydras getting screwed again, but at least they still got some pretty good value out of it. Moving from 13 to 7 could actually make a big difference in a draft like this one imho.

Bcuz I like bumping my own things (jk) I will finally write my explanation since I'm home.
So we accepted because we needed a for certain #2 franchise center, that could move up to wing on 1st line. Also, the drop between 7 and 13 shouldn't be too much because we felt like we could guarentee more this way.
