But there was another owner of the site, who Bill didn't know about because he was inactive. He somehow figures out that this has happened and comes back and restarts the forum and re-instates Leafs, Krever, and McDonald as members. It was amazing and now the league has gone on for 40 seasons lol.

So we named the playoff MVP award the Anton Razov Trophy because it's for the player deemed most clutch (best in the playoffs) since he was fucking clutch af

In Season 1, a user named Gibson basically set up what we know as the SMJHL today. He did a fantastic job, setting up teams, GM's, simming everything, making everything work. The league loved him, and he was super dedicated, probably a future commissioner/owner.

But he controlled the Prince George Firebirds, and they were on an absolute tear in season 1. Not only that, but so was Gibson's player (Steven Stamkos I believe). He had like 10 points clear of the second place point getter, Prince George just couldn't lose, it was crazy. So some people started calling him out for cheating. And in some sims he would "forget" to update other teams lines and wouldn't do anything about it. He blatantly rigged PGF to the best record, him first in scoring, they won the Cup, the whole everything.

The league ended up trying to quietly keep it under wraps and Gibson got banned from the league, and it was the first time (not the only time, mind you) that a player was caught for rigging a league. But the first season of the NWJHL was pretty much all falsified by Gibson making his player incredible, and making Prince George win every game
