FourFour was not supposed to be updated but was by accident and then fever unknowingly continued which shouldn't matter since in the SHL sim he was already put over 325.
This is not an exception, this was a mistake made by updaters and in no way affects the integrity of the SMJHL season. He started the season in Vancouver and he intends to finish it, I don't see the exception or special treatment. FourFour shouldn't be above 324 in the SHL sim but that is not reason to punish him or the Whalers.
Explain to me exactly what makes this bullshit because players that have been updated above 325 in the SHL are not allowed to be sent down but Toast and JP ruled that this was a special case as it wasn't supposed to happen and the only reason the rule was brought in was to keep players about that TPE out of the juniors (aka Heiss who had like 500 TPE at the time).
Saying something is bullshit doesn't make it bullshit, the rule is crystal clear, there is no exceptions and this shouldn't be considered one because he shouldn't have been updated anyway. This was a mistake and in no way gives anyone an unfair advantage in juniors when I'm just returning them their goalie. :lol:

It is fully within the rules to not be updated in the SHL and stay below 324 to play in juniors. If others were to do it, there wouldn't be a problem. I don't see why this seems like a problem. It was not his choice to be updated or to be called up.

It happened to the Impact with Reimer, The Crows with tenny and The Whalers with 44. If it happens to PGF, KEL or DET next season because of the "new rule" we won't get our player back.

How is this related to Reimer? He wasn't even updated? His updates were banked the whole time (for a bit, the updates weren't even on his update page, he kept them off).
Anyways, I'm not biased towards either side cause I hate you all equally. My opinion is allow 44 down and then in the offseason, make a clear ruling in public that enacts that whenever players are called up they are automatically updated. Easy as that, don't change it start/middle of playoffs. Offseason is the perfect time, especially when a team was counting on having him back and that was the only reasn he left in the first place.

As it clearly states that once they get brought up and updated, they can't be sent back down. But then it's said that they can as long as not updated in the SMJHL sim. So it all just started with a lot of confusion and no clear ruling on exactly how it would work making everyone have their own thoughts of how it actually is. Though referring to the first post of that thread, these goalies shouldn't be allowed down. But scrolling down, tez says they would be as long as they aren't updated in teh SMJHL sim.
EDIT: Actually, if you look at Page 2 of that thread. GoB brings up that this situation happened to him in PGF with Reinhart, and because Reinhart was updated past 325 in teh SHL he wasn't allowed to be sent back. So there's a precedent for both not allowing it and allowing it. It's just a freaking mess.

Also before anyone says I'm bitching and whatever, I'm just showing what the argument is. My team is affected by this decision, so of course I'm going to want to have clear rules on the matter. But it's obvious that it wasn't clear to everyone and there's nothing we can do about it now. Tenny is down, as is FourFour. They can play, and that's that. I just wanted to also bring up, when we make that "clear ruling" we need to make sure it is REALLY clear because that seemed clear and apparently wasn't.

That was what the whole argument with Tenny was about that the commishes apparently have a new rule that will make players that are called up auto updated even if they dont want to.
