Out with equipment and in with coaching.Shouldn't this have waited until next season for those who havent finished buying their equipment this year Doesn't effect me but last season i had to wait until the very end to get the money for my last piece of equipment RE: Out with the old equipment rules - LordBirdman - 03-02-2020 03-02-2020, 06:36 PMKatth Wrote:03-02-2020, 06:26 PMTomasnz Wrote: That's a fair criticism, and one we debated. Quite a bit. It is the downside of this approach. However let's remember equipment/personal coaching is super optional and is not needed to build good players in the league. As a rookie, this should probably be the way it works. When I first started, earning enough for one piece of equipment seemed like a lot - the bulk purchase is going to seem very challenging and might turn some rookies off. Just write in the amount of the equipment and what it is. The dropdown is just a shortcut. RE: Out with the old equipment rules - LordBirdman - 03-03-2020 I still don’t understand why SMJHL rookies aren’t going to be allowed to make purchases in pieces or upgrade throughout the season. It’s a feature that currently exists that is being removed. RE: Out with the old equipment rules - puolivalmiste - 03-03-2020 In general I like the change and will get it all at once but I agree with people who feel like upgrading should be option at least for SMJHL and even SHL players can buy few best parts and then wait and see if they can get last 2 later in season. You could keep track of your "Coaching Tier" on updates like you keep track of capped tpe (or pgs cap). If upgradiing would be allowed to keep it more simple for updaters I'd say just make sure that cost goes up more consistently for SHL even if it doesn't perfectly mimic current system, for example something like: 2,5M - 11 TPE 4M - 16 TPE 5,5M - 21 TPE 7M - 25 TPE 8,5M - 28 TPE Another way would be to link to bank transaction and to original purchase /latest upgrade to get upgrade approved. RE: Out with the old equipment rules - Mika_Kandinsky - 03-04-2020 This is so much better and much more elegant, thank you! RE: Out with the old equipment rules - LordBirdman - 03-06-2020 I think I'm going to be able to start a nice high interest loan business to rookies that want to get maximum TPE with low bank accounts. RE: Out with the old equipment rules - Snoopdogg - 03-08-2020 When can I start buying these personal coaching sessions? RE: Out with the old equipment rules - JSS331 - 03-17-2020 We went to this in PBE this season. It definitely streamlined the process. We did allow upgrades throughout the season which made it accessible to both rookies and experienced players who earn all season to afford the equipment. What is the downside to allowing a custom transaction later in the season for the difference between what you paid and what the max coaching and just linking to that with the difference in TPE? These seem like easy decisions when you have multiple jobs in the league and money is of no concern. The rest of us stiffs have to write more than I ever did in school to earn the cash. RE: Out with the old equipment rules - Count Chocula - 09-07-2020 someone should update the individual training camp page with this |
