Rocco is having a tough time keeping himself occupied during this time in quarantine. After a very stressful FIFA Ultimate Team Weekend League (in which he achieved Gold 3 ranking for the first time), he is just sitting in his home in Kelowna trying to pass the time. Netflix is not holding up as well as he originally thought it would, as he's already gone through the entirety of Dirty Money, which only comprises of two seasons at this time. The second season of Ozark is his latest target and he's getting back into the shwo after a few episodes. Last night, he almost made it to the Super Bowl in his Madden Connected Franchise, but Rocco's beloved Kansas City Chiefs fell in the AFC Championship to Lamar Jackson and his Baltimore Ravens. Rocco is looking forward to the draft in that league and the rewards that he will receive from the FIFA Weekend League on Thursday. It is a boring existence!

Lucas is taking time on his own to just relax. He's feeling good, but decided that staying indoors is what the community needs him to do, thus he is doing that. Thankfully he had planned out a body-weight workout during the season for his off-season vacations, along with some yoga YouTube videos in order to keep him in shape, mentally and physically. While not exercising, he's just on the couch, binging YouTube, Hulu, Netflix, HBO, etc. He also jumped on the Animal Crossing bandwagon and got the new game for his Switch which he sometimes takes a break from only to hop on the computer and paly som FM20 or FHM6, based on his mood. He's in constant contact with his family and his teammates from both the Timbers and Wolfpack in order to keep him from going crazy, even sometimes hopping in calls and playing some games with them. He's really enjoying learning about his new Wolfpack teammates and the new rooks in Maine!

He's surprisingly picked up journaling since he needs a way to vent and just talk, but so far, he's loving the new hobby he has found.

He hopes that other people are also taking this time to reflect and learn more about themselves while also being safe from this crazy situation.

During his quarantine, Jerry Huuveri went back to his childhood. He got his Playstation from closet and started playing old Tom Clancy's games and EA's NHL 2001. How the heck are the graphics so bad! He also tries to keep himself in good condition and ready for the upcoming season but it proves to be quite hard sometimes. Training in home, and alone can be so boring for Huuveri but he manages to do it somehow, not every day though, but sometimes. He also keep close connections with his family and friends via skype to keep mind his mind in the right place and to prevent loneliness. Luckily Huuveri family is safe and sound and they also stay in quarantine willingly, which makes Jerry very happy. We all hope that this situation gets solved as soon as possible, but it will take some time. Huuveri is frustrated that the season is postponed but understands very well why it needed to happen. Health before anything.  Stay safe and healthy!

Rhys isn't minding the quarantine much. His roomate Strom Chamberlain (@Geekusoid) bought EA Sports SHL '53 for XBOX ONE and they have been playing pretty much all day. They've been playing with St. Louis Scarecrows forward Danny Marston (@Capt_Blitzkrieg) and Detroit Falcon's forward Cal Labovitch (@Mutedfaith) and are getting pretty good at the game. It's not all video games and sitting around, however, Rhys is working on staying in game shape. He starts his day with some Yoga and body weight exercises. Keeping conditioning is tough, but he rides the stationary bike several times a day. Rhys diet hasn't changed much, though him and Strom do order and split the occasional pizza. Rhys has tried to keep eating healthy and stay in shape for the eventual return of hockey.

When they're not playing XBOX, Strom and Rhys are working whatever drills that a two bedroom apartment will allow without annoying their neighbors too badly. But it's tough to to much with sticks and pads without making too much noise. They also go over team strategy and have calls with Anaheim leadership and teammates to check in on fitness routines and get the latest league info. They're expecting an announcement from SMJHL soon on when practices and competition can resume.

Rikard didn't think much of the situation as much, keeping his mind on his training, but when his roommate started showing symptoms, it finally hit home for Rikard. While complaining about self-quarantine and being bored, Rikard is now doing what he can to keep himself healthy and to care for his roommate. Daily disinfection of high touch areas such as doorknobs, bathroom faucets and toilets have become second nature to Rikard. To him, it has become another form of training. Cooking for both, Rikard has been keeping up with his training regiment and dieting, trying to not let this get to him. Hockey was something he could focus on to get away and escape it, but that has become impossible with the quarantine in full effect.

Rikard just hopes he doesn't catch the virus, and hopes that it is not transmitting through his limited interactions. He hopes it ends soon.

Magnus is a relatively extroverted guy, but he would enjoy some time alone as well. He likes to cook, so if he has sufficient supplies, he would definitely be trying out some new recipes to tweak and to see if anything about them could be improved. Some recipes that could last a long time would be good as well, as being by himself, he would have to eat everything by his lonesome. He would also spend a lot of time FaceTiming his new girlfriend(?) Saara, who lives in the same city but they wouldn't be able to see each other if the whole place is under lockdown. If his neighbours need help, of course he would try to help to the best of his abilities.

Magnus would also be doing body-weight exercises to try and keep fit, as the gym is now off-limits. There are some interesting ones, but hopefully they are enough so that the fitness level doesn't go down too much. It might take a couple of games once the season is back in swing to get back up to game speed due to no ice-time practices.

If a quarantine situation were to happen in the SHL universe, Igor would probably go slightly insane. He'd very likely worry that his skills wold deteriorate in "the lost season" and that he'd have to spend more time making them up to recover. Once he calmed down, he'd likely use the time to perhaps try to keep in touch with his teammates, and perhaps learn the basics of coding. Maybe Igor could code his own game, calculator, or simulator, like a virtual hockey rink. Once that has proved too ambitious, Igor would probably decide to try and code a program that just adds 1 + 1. And still fail. Then he might go back to chemistry, memorizing the rest of the periodic table. Or something. I don't really have much. Igor is tough-headed, but even this could break him. He craves even mild social interaction with his teammates.

If this was ever to occur in our made up fictional land of the simulation hockey league you know damn right luffy would be at the top of his game and convert his house into his own personal work out glory home. Practicing to stay ahead of the long winter in doors and living it up like an instagram legend showing his filthy mittys and work out routine from home. Even if his home gym wasn't set up properly luffy would be curling his dog or children and benching his wife. Luffy takes this very seriously and will make sure that he social distances himself from all his loved ones and only his wife and kids get to see him till the pandemic is over. His hockey skills will never faulted and he'll be working the full 8 hrs or maybe even more to stay in shape and to practice his silky mitties.

Darrow honestly would thrive in this sort of situation. Darrow lives by himself in a two-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. Darrow loves to cook, especially his homeland's foods, and has been experimenting with some weirder "German fusion" cuisine the last year or two. While he isn't fond of huge crowds, Darrow has been known to host some very lovely dinner parties with some of his teammates and their significant others. During quarantine, he would be fine by himself, going days without saying many words. He would likely check in on his mother and sister back in Germany (his attempts to persuade them to move to the States has failed, though he's appreciative of that right now).

One of his top hobbies is reading, which is reflected in his home. His second room is a library, with near floor to ceiling bookshelves lining two walls and another lining half the wall of the third. He has a nice leather chair by the window he likes to sit and read in, as well as a small desk in the middle of the room. It's covered in a wide variety of books and notes--Darrow is an avid reader and student of history. While many SHLers might be focused on the glitz and glamour, buying expensive cars, second homes, etc, Darrow's discretionary spending is almost fully focused on expanding his collection of books. It's important to note that Darrow spent nearly nothing when Eggy invited him to the finals in Edmonton a few seasons back--he purchased a few hundred dollars of rare and first-edition books, and that's about it.

Jax is pretty lucky. This quarantine time has hit just after the greatest moments of his life. Not only is he enjoying an extended off-season after winning the Cup, giving his body the necessary time to fully recover from a grueling playoffs, but he also became a father shortly after the playoffs ended. Because of this, he actually sees the quarantine as a blessing.

While usually, being cooped up inside is horrible. It isn't like we aren't millionaires who have extravagance all around. There's places in the house to get away to even. For Jax, he doesn't even feel the need for that. He sits at home in the baby's room, tending to the newborn and has a small television in there for him to put on hockey games and have his mind always on how to improve.

Meanwhile, throughout the day, he often checks in on his friends and teammates. The quarantine brain is a sick and sadistic one, a true danger. However, with togetherness even apart from each other, we can make it through.

Michael Scarn has absolutely no problem doing social distancing. In fact, one of his best moments came when he was a branch manager at Dunder Mifflin back in the day when he was practicing social distancing. Scarn became a champion of the world, becoming the ultimate Survivor Man by surviving an entire day in the Pennsylvanian woods all by himself, surviving off the berries and mushrooms of the land while building shelter for himself. Scarn plans to travel into the Buffalo wilderness, where the frigid temperatures pose no match for his already well suited ice cold blood and fiery personality. Scarn can fashion his overcoat into pants if he wants to, and then refashion them back into his overcoat depending on the temperature in the wilderness. Moreover, Scarn can survive off the land, hunting the rabbits and truly living an eco friendly, socially responsible life by distancing himself from civilization until the corona is gone.

During this quarantine Karl has come to the realization that he was already basically doing that to himself from the get go.
With his SHL rookie contract he bought a rather large boggy piece of land in the everglades, and usually he can be found at his cabin if he isn't at the rink training, or traveling for a game.

Usually with time off Karl is either zipping around on his air boat, or wrestling alligators in his rather large backyard, it's a good assumption he will be back at that for an extended period of time until the season gets underway.

With the start of the season delayed, Karl ended up gaining a few extra pounds for training camp, and not the good muscly ones. Usually he shows up about 20 pounds over playing weight and sweats that down during preseason, but by the time the SHL got going this season, he's a chunky 50!

Hot sauna's and cardio are definitely going to be in store for Karl.

Stuck in self quarantine at home with his dog, Tampa Bay Barracuda forward Nolan Sawchuk has been bored out of his mind. He keeps scrolling though twitter, browsing Youtube and watching Netflix. Having not left the house for a week already he is getting careless with his diet and physical appearance, having not shaved at all during that time. When the season comes back he will definitely be out of shape. To keep himself occupied he has found this cool new website, SSHL. It stands for the Simulated Simulation Hockey League, where you can create your own player and do certain tasks to earn more points to improve said player. It seems very dumb but Nolan is quite into it so far, creating Nolan Sawchuk Jr. He keeps talking about having to write a new article to his trainer and frankly he's getting worried he'll spend too much time on this website. We look forward to seeing just how far down this rabbit hole he ends up going.

At a time like this where many are stuck at home, Potts isn't very creative in his approach of what to do while quarantining. Not having the luxury of a home gym at this point of his career makes it difficult to keep on the strength building, however he is staying in shape by doing as much cardio as he can on his treadmill. Obviously, you can only run on a treadmill for so long, Potts has also been sharpening up his skills on the sticks, and has been playing a ton of NHL 20 with some of his Newfoundland teammates, and Texas. There's no doubt that SLATT will be in fine cardio shape when the season does come back around in full force, however I know he'd definitely like to be able to get onto the ice as soon as possible, and this quarantine isn't making life easy in that regard. All in all, he's trying to make the best out of what is currently going on.
